I think Bill Hader brought up the the theory on Talking Bad, but it's pretty obvious now that the ricin will be put in Lydia's tea.

I don't know about Walt/Skyler but I figured long ago that this would come down to a Walt/Jesse final scene of some sort. We shall see.

I wonder if Jesse learned enough from Walt that he can do to Todd what Walt did to Crazy8 and Emilio.

Walt was ready to give himself up until he heard the blue meth was still around... he probably came to the conclusion that Jesse was still alive and cooking and is now seeking revenge on Jesse.
BTW, I fkn Walt Jr. He turned on his father at the drop of a hat.
Wasnt Saul supposed to be hiding out with Walt? After Walt moved into the cabin, what happened to Saul?
I missed the high school principal. When did they show her?
Disagree. When Walt called his ungrateful prick of a son, seemed to me that Walt admitted to fkng up and making mistakes. How can anyone NOT feel bad for Walt at this point?

Flynn wasn't thinking at all. His mother really needed that money in order to retain solid defense counsel, and he let his emotions get in the way.
I believe the Saul story line has concluded.
I'm not sure how much time has passed with Walt at the cabin....60 days...90? In any event, the bank moved very quickly to foreclose on the house.

Did anyone see the Charlie Rose show in August with Vince Gilligan, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Anna Gunn? I only caught the tail end, and was wondering if Charlie's cameo was mentioned.

Does Walt's road trip back to Albuquerque take him through Nebraska and a final meeting with Saul, do you guys think?

Amazing. Absolutely amazing, no other words can describe this series. It's just been masterful beginning to end and I don't think there's been a single filler episode. The way I view any other series is going to pale in comparison to this for the longest time.
Fantastic episode. Saul is probably done in the series now. I'm glad he didn't get killed off and got himself a new identity. Also liked how he was trying to reason with Walt and really he was right. Walt's ego is just hurting everyone more in the long term. Sure he has his freedom for a certain period of time but it's costing him and his family everything.
Walt in New Hampshire alone, I almost felt bad for him for a moment as he's lost everything and has no one and pretty much the bare essentials to survive and that's about it. Even the drop off guy won't stay around unless he pays him. The call to Walt Jr. and Walt trying desperately to make him understand and to try and provide only to be asked why he wasn't dead already was pretty powerful. The call to the Albuquerque DEA was a bit unexpected but I guess it fits in with Walt's Heisenberg side and wanting to show his power one last time. Wondering if the Elliott and Gretchen appearing on The Charlie Rose Show is going to make him go after them at all. It seemed like the gears were just grinding in his head after they said he had nothing to do with Gray Matter except for the contribution of the name. Also really loved the ending with the local sheriff agency going to the bar where Walt made the call from with the main theme song playing.
Also creepy Todd and the gang at the White residence and threatening Skyler was pretty tense. I sort of knew that Jesse would probably end up caught again. It just seemed like it was too easy for him to escape and I didn't buy that he was actually going to get away. Felt really bad about Todd killing Andrea though.
Really wonder how next week is going to play out. The obvious thing seems that Walt is going to go back and kill Todd and the gang but it seems like that's going to be hard for him to do solo.

I don't think Walt goes after Grey Matter, it's just a catalyst (along with the Walt Jr conversation) for him to drop the good guy act in the last episode.

It was that very moment that Walt realized that she was right. As soon as she said that, you could see him change from Walt to Heisenberg, almost as if you could see him think, "You're right. Walt's dead. Now Heisenberg has work to do."

Re: Breaking Bad -- 75 minute episode -- "Granite State" -- 9/22/13
Walt has done many, many, many questionable things to say the least, but killing either Gretchen or Elliot would be a bit over the top even for him. It'd just be pure spite. I wouldn't put it completely past him, but I'm not exactly expecting things to go down that path.
If he were to use the ricin on them it would brutally prove the point that having piles and piles of money can't save you from death (like Walt's cancer!), but in order for that point to be made, Walt would have to reveal that he poisoned them. Which obviously defeats the purpose of picking an "untraceable" poison as a method of dispatching someone.
If he were to use the M60 on them, well, that's just ridiculous.
I'd be very surprised if they show up in the finale at all. That interview segment served its purpose as a means to get Walt back to ABQ and to reinforce that Walter White's legacy is forever ruined, but Heisenberg still has one shot (give or take a few hundred 7.62mm rounds) for "glory."

Did anyone else think that Uncle Jack was going to kill Todd when he went outside with him after hearing Jesse's confession about the kid? I know that even hardcore criminals can't stand kid killers, and thought he might take him out, especially the way they all lined up against him. Good little pysch-out on the writer's part.
Makes sense. If he's going after Jack, he knows there are seven more barrels there. Why bother lugging one around?
How many Cinnabon's can there be in Omaha?

Incredible episode. I can't think of any television series that has been so consistent for so long. One of the greatest television series of all time for sure.
Aaron Paul was amazing this episode. The scene with him watching Todd kill Andrea was a high-point in his acting on this show.
Todd is cold-blooded. He didn't seem like much when we first met him, but he's turned into a great character. He's smart, manipulative, and willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. The scene with him threatening Skyler was very intense. It will be very interesting to see how Walt handles him in the finale.
I'm also glad they addressed the loose thread that was Jesse's videotaped confession and presumably the recorded telephone conversation. Glad we got to see part of Jesse's confession. It would be great to see more of it as an extra on the home video release.
I think the point is that Walt. Jr. sees his dad for who he really is at this point in the series. Walt started off well-intentioned but turned into a monster. While Walt tried to save Hank's life, he's ultimately one of the ones responsible for his death and so many more. While I'm hoping he takes out Todd and the Nazis, he's still not someone I'm rooting for to come out on top. I want him to be held accountable for his actions, one way or the other. Walt Jr. didn't turn on his father and he wasn't reacting purely on emotion. He recognizes his father has done a lot of really bad things and wants nothing to do with it. The money is an insult; why would Walt Jr. want any of Walt's ill-gotten gains? And we don't really know what's going on between Skyler and Walt Jr. either, but I don't imagine they're on very good terms given her complicity in Walt's actions.

That's some good shit there.
It felt surreal seeing the show in a different element... ie. cold/snow.
You gotta feel bad for Jesse watching Andrea die and knowing he was partly responsible with his attempted escape. He's still feeling partially guilty of losing Jane. His reaction was gut-wrenching.
Walt gave up, but the Gray Matter thing gave him one last breath.
He's not seeking revenge on Gray Matter... it's just the spark that got him angry again due to his pride/ego, and when Gretchen mentioned that he's no longer Walter White - he realized that it's true, Walter White no longer exists. The cops went to the bar to find Walter White and he was gone... literally and figuratively. The Breaking Bad theme song plays to indicate that for the first time in the series, Walt broke bad 100%.
Can't wait for next week.

It seems like Walt's storyline is further in the future then Jesse's. Walt looks like he's been in the cabin for at least two months, but I don't think Jesse has been caged for that long.
I just hope the series doesn't end with Walt & Jesse side by side in a big gunfight with the supremacists, and then shaking hands at the end. Two superheroes like Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef mowing down the villains. That would suck.
