I cheated and watched the teaser given in the other thread.
This is going to be epic. Hate that's it's ending for the season.

Has there been any official word on the series being renewed for a fourth season? I know it's critically acclaimed and has a good buzz about it, but the closest I could find was this article, where they speculate that filming might start in early 2011, and be shown over the summer, which means a wait of more than 12 months: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michae..._b_609795.html

I can't imagine AMC not bringing this back. With the critical acclaim it gets, and the decent ratings for the network, would be stupid to ditch a show like this.

I cant fucking wait. Wow.
I have no idea but I know my mind will be blown once again by this amazing show.
I hope it gets at least 1 more season, but I would watch this show for 10 more seasons.

Can't wait! Love that pic in the first post. Were there ever two more innocuous looking men who were such compelling characters? This season (with the exception of "Fly" which I found to be an admirable effort but flawed in execution) has been superb from floating eyeball to "Run."
Sad that it is ending for now, sad about the "rules" of cable. This show is worthy of longer seasons for sure.

Yep, it's coming back. After Damages got canned (as well as 'Til Death), Sony would likely give a great deal to AMC to continue with this show for another Season. Ratings have improved and it gets a ton of notice at awards.

I won't be coming back into this thread until I watch the episode, but as for a renewal, this was just announced:

I think Deadline screwed up the Seasons though..

AMC has closed a deal to renew Vince Gilligan's dark drama for a fourth season. The network is expected to make the announcement tomorrow, following tonight's second season finale.
The deal had been in the works for almost two months, after the network first notified the auspices on the Sony TV-produced series of the pickup in April. I hear the sticking issue between AMC and Sony was the budget for the upcoming season, with the network eyeing a production budget of about $3.1 million per episode, while the show's creative team was pulling for $3.3 million. After weeks of crunching numbers, I hear the two sides came to an agreement, splitting the budget gap in the middle. Breaking Bad earned two Emmys for star Bryan Cranston and a best series nomination last year. It is considered a formidable drama contender again this year, with its nomination chances boosted by the fact that its third season culminated during the Emmy voting period.

Beyond awesome. Loved the sparse commercial breaks.
I've had a feeling all season that Walt was going to come into his own and go against Gus.
This could easily wind up with Gus is taken out next season and Hank takes over, leaving the rest of the organization intact, and with Sal and maybe even Mike helping.
I can't believe we have to wait on next season. Loved the way Walt played it there under pressure.
Just awesome.

This show makes me so fucking tense. Excellent season. I loved season 2 but this season trumped it in every way.

This show is amazing, tied with Dexter as my favorite program currently airing. This season was fantastic, I wasn't sure that the show would top its excellent second season but this third was just awesome. Really can't wait to see what happens next. Hopefully nothing happens to Jesse, as I'm certain nothing will happen to Walt until the series wraps up (whenever that may be). I think Gus is going to be out of the picture soon, not really sure how they'll get rid of him but he's a problem that has to be dealt with for Walt and Jesse to continue living their lives safely.

Re: Breaking Bad --> Season 3 Finale --> "Full Measure" --> 06/13/10
Exciting finale. I wasn't really in love with this last season, I think Walt's cancer being barely mentioned was a big reason, as that was an aspect of the story that really drew me in. I'm more interested in the low level 'disorganized crime' of the first two seasons, as opposed to high level cartel wars and family melodrama. But that was a really strong finale and I'm looking forward to next season.
I really liked all the irony at the flashback at the start. The way Walt is still aiming for the sky (even though it sounded like he wasn't working for Grey Matter anymore, I think he mentioned another company?). Skyler mentions that there's a really good high school nearby, lol.
On the nitpicking side, it sure made for a nice visual, but why would the electricity to all the video game machines be on, if the place was closed down long enough for them to put a plastic tarp on everything? Also, I suspect that they slightly over-play Walt's value as a meth cook for dramatic value - it probably wouldn't be that hard to find someone that can cook decent batches of meth, and they've never established that there's any economic advantage for Gus to sell NASA-grade meth - seems like it all pretty much works the same.

Re: Breaking Bad --> Season 3 Finale --> "Full Measure" --> 06/13/10
At least the "things coming together" this season didn't feel as forced as the plane crash as the last one. I don't think that Mike really respected Walt, and Walt's fake groveling solidified his opinion. Of course, if Gayle answers his phone the jig is up ....
