Yep.

Did anyone ever notice the M60 peaking out from behind the money on the season 5A poster art? I just noticed it today.

The ricin could actually be a diversion. Remember how the shit hit the fan when somebody mailed ricin in real life? Perhaps somebody Walt needs access to is in police custody or otherwise guarded, and the ricin is part of a plot to gain access to them by creating a diversion.

My real prediction for the ricin is it's for Lydia. One, it's had her name on it before. Two,
Spoiler:
remember when Mike was going to kill and disappear Lydia but she freaked out because she didn't want her daughter thinking she had abandoned her? Walt wouldn't necessarily know about that, but the writers do and it's a good way to address it.

Re: Breaking Bad -- 75 minute episode -- "Granite State" -- 9/22/13

I still don't think the guy we're seeing in the flash forwards or at the end of Granite State is Heisenberg. It's a guy who no longer wants his legacy to be the blue meth. Walt was a guy fiercely protective of his own work and getting credit for that work. Heisenberg would protect that work. I think the Walter White that remains doesn't want the blue meth to be his legacy. He wants to destroy that work.

I'm hoping the finale will find some redemption for Walt. If he kills the neo-nazis, frees Jesse, puts an end to the blue meth and dies in a way that takes the heat off his family I'll be happy with that.

I don't know if Jesse survives. Hopefully he gets to kill Todd but what future does he have? I don't see him running off with a whole lot of money. I kinda doubt anyone except maybe the feds gets the money. After the phone call to Jr. I don't see Walt going down the road to get money to his family any longer.

Lydia's in Houston. Does Walt know where she lives in Houston? And it doesn't sound like she regularly makes appearances in ABQ.

Walt wanting to ricin Lydia may not be feasible.

Just noticed (in watching the marathon) in episode "ABQ" Donald calls flight Juliet Mike 021 (JM021) Jane Mike 021 and that it is that plane that collides with Wayfarer 515 (WAF515) .... I never caught the plane naming
at least he didn't call WAF515 Walter

the first time he finds the (teddy bear) eyeball is when Hank shows up at the house

For those who watch this show through iTunes or Amazon - about what time is the newest episode usually available to download/stream? I'm usually content to just wait till Monday evening to watch it, but I'd rather watch the series finale as soon as possible (I don't think I can sit through an entire shift at work without knowing what happens.) If it becomes available exactly at midnight I'll probably be willing to stay up late to watch it.

The Conan interview with the gang is great so far.

Walt will begin importing illegal exotic woods in violation of the Lacey Act and start 'cooking' bird feeders and coasters. But will he be able to stay a step ahead of Norm Abrams? Overcome by his lust for a new empire will he read, understand, and follow all the safety rules that come with his power tools?

He MIGHT use it on Lydia, but he doesn't really have much of a connection to her and they haven't interacted in awhile anyway. Plus, I can't remember Lydia doing anything overt toward Walt or his family (maybe I'm forgetting something huge) whereas Walt could absolutely blame Gray Matter for what happened to his life.
I'm pretty sure Walt is aware that Jack and his gang are trying to cook meth under orders from Lydia. He's probably also smart enough to know that that's why they took Jesse since he knows about the blue meth now. And since Jack killed Hank, I could easily see Walt ultimately placing the blame on Lydia. In BB, the truth somehow always gets out.

I also don't think he knows Jesse is alive. I think he assumes Todd is making the blue meth.
I think he knows that no one else is capable of cooking blue meth other than himself and Jesse. Gale too, but since he's dead...

I watch it on iTunes and my new episode notifications generally arrive in my inbox between 1-3:30 AM on Monday. That's too late for me, so I'll just watch on Monday.

Ditto for me. It helps that I've watched every episode over the last month so it's all fresh.

44 on the quiz, but man that Hostess comic is great. Now I want to see one where they take down Todd's gang with Fruit Pies.

Re: Breaking Bad -- 75 minute episode -- "Granite State" -- 9/22/13

I have been watching the reruns on AMC all week wondering what plot lines they might bring back. Skylar told Marie in S1 that she wanted to write a novel someday. Boy she certainly would sell a lot of copies now! Money problems solved.

When she first discovers Walt's cancer she is quick to blame "the lab", which I always assumed to be his work at Gray Matter. I wonder if they would open the finale showing this to be the root cause of his cancer. It would work thematically now that GM has been reintroduced.
