Yeah that rant was pretty incredible. Honestly though, he made a big mistake saying he would rat out Walt. Walt might not think much of it now, but Sal, and Gus, are surely going to take notice.

Surprised (and glad) they got away with that ending, that was hard R stuff.

One of the best episodes of anything in the history of television. If this were the 80s, this would have been built up as "On a very special episode of Breaking Bad"

Great scene with the trucker, almost Tarantinoesque.
Great bit of comic relief between the two storms of the beginning and the end.

Now that I've had some time to digest, and am watching the encore presentation...
This was just a brilliant episode. So well-done, from wonderful flashback beginning to the epically brutal ending.
I loved the scenes with Hank and Marie, especially in the elevator. It was great to see them being emotional together. It was cute to see her suggesting to Hank the lies he could tell to try and cover himself. I respect Hank taking the high road and being willing to admit what he did was wrong. His monologue in the bedroom was truly great.
I got a kick out of the gun dealer being one of the McPoyle brothers from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I really like when shows take something so innocuous (the gun dealer telling the brothers they could keep the bullet) and turning it into a game-changing element (what ultimately saves Hank's life). It was nice to see his description of how the bullet worked in reality; it was brutal and very effective.
Glad Hank and Jesse will be working together again. Gale just seems too "good" for Walt. Maybe Gale wasn't just there to learn Walt's secrets after all. I like that Walt was able to get Jesse back; he knew Sal and Gus would take Jesse out rather than risking the exposure.
Both of Jesse's speeches were great, especially the second. It was nice to see him stand up to Walt and for Walt to face exactly what he has done. That scene was integral to the characters and for Walt having to face his demons. It definitely was a matter of pride for Jesse and I think it is logical that when Walt admits to him he was lying about the quality, Jesse would come back.
They're definitely setting the stage for Skyler to start "breaking bad" as well; covering up for Walt, wanting to spend the drug money, making sure nothing comes back to her, asking Walt for favours...it seems only a matter of time until she fully embraces what Walt is doing.
That last scene was just incredibly intense. But where were they? Were they at a law enforcement building? Didn't Hank just leave after turning in his badge and gun? It didn't make sense to me that no one heard the gunshots or came to investigate. All that aside, the scene was incredible. I liked how when he was getting shot at, he instinctively reached for his gun (sort of the muscle memory Marie was describing). It was so tense, because we knew they were coming, that they had the vests, that Hank had no gun; I genuinely thought he was going to die. I'm surprised they were able to show the head shot on television, but I'm glad they did, as it was far more effective than it would have been otherwise. Hank was so lucky that these brothers weren't there for money (hired guns), but for revenge; their desire for revenge saved his life.
I really thought the one brother was going to kill the other brother, leave, and come back for vengeance on Hank another day. Glad they didn't postpone it.
Can't wait for next week!

I don't give a fuck if it's legal or not, I'm totally marrying this show and having at least 5 little Breaking Bad's.

So it was just me, eh? I hated this episode. Is this the episode where everyone acts so stupidly that I stop caring?
Walt has no fear of being seen walking in & out of Jesse's hospital room whenever he feels like it? At first I thought Walt was annoyed that his assistant was doing everything right & he had a need to correct & "teach" but now I'm not sure what he was thinking/feeling. What has happened lately that would make Walt think having Jesse anywhere near him is a good idea? There's been nothing but hostility & idiocy. No good can come of this. Just having him drive to the lab is a huge risk.
Jesse - nice speeches, but didn't he also have nothing before Walt? Is that flashback with Combo a couple episodes ago supposed to make us believe that he meant so much to him? I've only seen 2 episodes from season 1 so maybe I'm missing something.
I think several of us suspected that the twins weren't as bad-ass as they were trying to appear, but they're just a couple of Boba Fetts. For some reason the final scene didn't work for me it all. Very disappointing after how tense & suspenseful last week's RV scenes were. After Hank was told he might have a guardian angel, I would've had him fall down the elevator shaft.
