Gus is definitely the scariest one on the show. Walt needs to be very careful in that relationship.

Walt making the moves on the lady principal made me laugh, especially her reaction to his advances.

While Walt is trying to stay on the staight and narrow, events keep pulling him back into meth cooking business.

How close will Hank get to finding Heisenberg after all?

I love how the show takes something as small as Pinkman not having gas money and blows it up into something huge. That's the best thing about the show for me... mentos in diet coke.

There are still gas stations that let you pump before you pay?

Loved the scene with Walt confronting Ted.

Hank is getting close to finding out Jesse. I have a bad feeling Hank won't make it through the end of the season.

When he was dragging the plant was the first time I've been able to picture him as Hal again.

Pretty good episode.

With Hank's downward spiral I can't wait to see his reaction when he finds out the truth about Walt.

I think Walt is going to kill Hank. Hank discovers Jesse and Walt has to make a decision, and chooses the dark side.

I'm really hating Walt this season, not that he was a really like-able person before, but right now he's a mess and just keeps whining and whining.

Great, great episode.

Jesse playing bad guy at the counter.

Hank's losing it.

Walt's obviously back to understanding what he needs to be doing.

Loved that NM sky in those airport shots.

Solid episode, loved Walt throwing the plant at the window and the window not budging at all. His downward spiral is definitely heading him back to cooking.

Great cinemtography/acting once again, when Jesse was trading the meth for gas, the close up of his face, you could really see the old junkie in his eyes as they lit up explaining the quality of the product.

I'm so glad they didn't kill off Jesse in the first season like they originally intended.

with Hank teetering on the brink now, i have a feeling that when he finds out it is Walt he might want to try and get some as well.

I thought of that back in the first season when Hank started on the trail of the Blue Meth. But Hank doesn't have any kids and seems to be a man of simple pleasures, so I don't see the appeal to him of getting into the drug business. Plus, as a DEA agent, he knows the reality of going to prison (and what a hell it would be for a DEA agent). So I doubt this will happen.

But at the same time, those exact things give him the advantage because he does work for the DEA. It is plausible, shit Whitey Bulger had the FBI in his pocket and they knew about it...so it could work.

I would like to see it go in a different direction, but that is my own taste.

I didn't. That was too silly. So was his fight with Saul.

Great episode.

The thing this show has going for it that others shows don't (except probably for Mad Men) is it takes the small simple scenes (which you wouldn't normally think anything of) and makes them interesting and meaningful. It could be a short piece of dialog in a conversation or just a certain camera shot - it always seems to have a purpose and doesn't bore me.

Looks like Gus is maneuvering Walt back into the game ... give him a cut, then make him get competitive and not let Jesse outdo him as a professional. It would be nice, however, to give Walt something to do other than feel sorry for himself and snivel.

I think the point of doing that was to get Jesse to pester Walt back into cooking. Otherwise why would Walt care when he just gets money dumped at him for no reason.

Re: Breaking Bad --> "Green Light" --> 04/11/10

Walt's already proven not to be rational. He also obviously has a superiority complex about his cooking. He nit-picked Jesse's meth, upset about the job he had done, then consoled himself that Jesse would never move into the big time alone as Gus doesn't like junkies. Now that Walt knows that Jesse is working with Gus, his ego won't let that continue without his involvement ... or at least I think this is what Gus is thinking.

About everything, not just his cooking. He's such a loser.

I love that character!
