If I was Jesse I would just walk away from those people that offed Combo and never look back, considering it a cost of doing business and a lesson learned. But I guess that's why Jesse's an idiot.

People keep saying this, but Jesse's not an idiot. He's just reactionary and immature. But he's in many ways smarter than Walt about the realities of their business.

Gus who?

Gus is old news.

There's a new man in town and his name is Walt.

Gus may respect Walt's intelligence, but even after this, I still am not sure he'd be afraid of him.

So the dealers went back and killed the kid, knowing Jesse'd come after them, which of course he did. So Walt killed them purely to save Jesse? (And Walt did not think twice about pulling out that gun and shooting the guy in the head.) Wow...

Also Marie is a good wife.

I was wondering if Walt killed them to save Jessie, or after seeing the news if he couldn't live with them getting away with killing a kid either.

But my guess is it's the Jessie reason.

Re: Breaking Bad -- "Half Measures" -- 06/06/10

Very tense ending. One thing I wondered about though, would Gus really be meeting with street-level dealers face-to-face? Is his identity basically an open secret then?

Also, I wonder if Skyler looking up "Money Laundering" on Wikipedia (LOL) was in any way Gilligan referencing the last X-Files movie where Scully looks up "Stem Cell Research" on Google a few days before doing the procedure - that's what I thought of, anyway.

.

I was going to post this. Gus has been portrayed as working in the shadows, taking extreme precautions, never working with drug addicts etc... now we show him having a sit down with 2 street dealers.. and his top chemists.

I just didn't buy this - it kind of brought Gus down a bit in my eyes..but it did move the plot forward.

There is no way I will be able to stay up until midnight to watch the finale next week. I'll have to DVR and watch it on monday night.

It made me think about Office Space, when they were looking up money laundering in the dictionary.

I was also surprised that Gus would be meeting with dealers.

Whew! What.an.episode!

I was hoping Walt would come in and stop/save Jessie, but I didn't think he'd do that! Wow.

at Sklyer looking up money laundering on wikipedia

I also thought it was a bit weird to see Gus meeting with the dealers. I too pictured him in the background or the shadows running things.
