Nice. Finally something with a bit of story to it. I hope they use that On Her Majesty's Secret Service Remix in the movie, it sounds great.

I saw it in front of "Sky Captain" and it made me really forward to "The Incredibles".

Looks like a great movie.

Really looking forward to this one.

Looks like PIXAR has another hit. Saw the new trailer with Sky Captain. Can't wait for this one. Loved the James Bond music cue as well!

Looks hiliarious! I wonder if this movie is a hit it will make Disney kick itself even more for losing Pixar?

When Mr. Incredible says, "It's showtime!" it totally brought visions of Bruce Campbell. -wink-

Once Eisner is gone, Pixar will return home.

To me it looks great...but as I watched it with my g/f she was saying...THAT'S PIXAR? Don't they make CUTE films. I guess she does have a point. Pixar does usually make "cute" films. This is kinda, in a way... different. I'm not sure if it will compare well to Finding Nemo or Monsters INC.

09-20-04, 11:52 PM
I'm lookin forward to it. Who does Jason Lee play? In all the trailers so far I still have yet to hear him say anything but he's listed with all the other names...

09-21-04, 12:17 AM
I agree this looks great. It's the first Pixar movie surrounding human like characters, and Brad Bird as director...and that trailer looks great. So yeah...no doubt this will be right up there with Pixar's other films. PLus I can finally buy the Iron Giant on dvd...woo.

I want that "Art Of" cover as a poster...damn that's cool.

This movie is going to make my head explode!!

This looks like a blast.

Looks great! I have total faith that this will be one of the best movies of the year as Pixar movies usually are. I had my doubts but not anymore.

I laughed out loud at the part where he gets stuck in the ejection chamber.

I'm so there opening day!

09-21-04, 10:33 AM
Finding Nemo was one of the best films last year, and it looks like The Incredibles, much to my delight, is going to be one of the best films of this year. Why can't Hollywood make more movies that are this fun and this good?

Awesome movie! I cannot wait. :D

The story so far:

1) Looks awesome
2) Hope they use the James Bond theme
3) Where's Jason Lee in all this?
4) The "Art of the Incredibles" book would go great with a $25 GC
5) Someone has friends at Pixar and isn't sharing

I would also like to add that I recently quit smoking after 15 years and I have not once driven through Oregon.

here is an example of the brilliance of Pixar. Take a teaser that has been showing for around a year, re-release it with "Eye of the Tiger" playing in the background... comedy gold. Old trailer, new again. I laugh every time I see it.

There is a great poster here in SF with the phrase

Gut or Glory under the main guy flying along like Superman

If you head over to SaveDisney.com and check out the eight part article (actually the last two chapters are enough) on the Rise and Fall of Disney Animation, you'll at least find out why Disney no longer makes these kind of animated movies.

BTW, I can't wait for the Incredibles, either. FWIW, Ever since Toy Story, Pixar films are the only movies I have seen that I have left the theater feeling like I really got my money's worth. Never disappointed. Not even with Finding Nemo, which (because of the subject matter) I thought might leave me with a feeling of something to be desired.
