FWIW, Kroger (Fry's Food near me) has a digital coupon for $10 off 2 $25 iTunes cards or $10 off 2 $30 packs (3 x $10 cards) or $10 of a $50 card.

Same in my Nexus 7 tablet.

I don't seem to have any issues in my iPhone.

Loading screens are slower in both devices though.

Finished the Chalmers quest this morning. It was great that only he was required for most quests.
Android crashes are becoming annoying though.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

About a month ago I decided to do the 90 day quest to grow corn... because it was funny.

Now I get one to grow Perfection roses.

*sigh*

I guess that questline can wait another 53 days.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

the perfection roses takes 45 seconds and you get virtually nothing for it. who cares if you have an outstanding quest? it doesn't progress the game quests at all.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I wasn't sure if it was part of a questline.

Glad to hear it isn't.

No.. the game gives you random quests that you can do whenever you want. You get a little money and XP for them, but they aren't part of any actual quest line.

FWIW, just got my iTunes cards (ebay deal, $50 card for $35). I hope Lateralus and anyone else that ordered them got them too.

I guess I did too, though it was a bit anticlimactic. I prefer more definitive endings rather than just... finding nothing else to do.

I'm at the point where I have nothing really going on. I might buy some donuts, or just start throwing people on 24-hour tasks. Getting everyone stuck on those will bring on something new for sure.

Yeah, and I think they don't even offer you anything extra--just like doing any task, but this one was randomly assigned to you. Just keeping us busy, I guess.

i did the corn thing as well, then a day after i started it I get a moonshine quest. It sucks but for no other reason than I have to look at that quest for the next 90 days!

If you have Marge the Witch you can speed up crop growing by 4 hours at a time.

I don't have her.

I actually have very few/little premium buildings. The next time donuts go on sale though I might pick up a handful to at least snag a few things I want. Like the sleep-away motel kind of cracks me up. Or some of the other characters for the board walk and such.

Does the motel do anything neat other than have a character?

I have very few premium characters also. I bought Kearney by accident and got Squeaky Voice Teen in the mystery box. I am close to buying Otto, though.

I was going to ask how everyone got a juggler in their KL until I realized it was the Krustylu character.

The motel is a pretty good building. It has one of the only female characters, and it has an entertaining but very brief task.

The boardwalk characters don't do anything, though, other than walk around.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah.. the boardwalk ones seem like a waste. If they could do a task related to a boardwalk building, they might be worth it. As they are now, they are simply decorations that occasionally move.

I had a weird dream about Tapped Out last night. I somehow had an app installed on my phone that let me get 500 donuts, one time, and that I was then able to buy some of the premium buildings with characters that I wanted. If only it were true.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just thought I'd check with the DVDTalk community...anyone have problems of late with TSTO? It is asking me to reset my password everyday now, (password invalid yet I haven't changed it. Have to go to Origin website.) and the gameplay is very laggy. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and I reboot my phone (Droid Bionic) before playing whenever I can. Still not stopping the issue...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Toothchipper being built. I guess I can send everyone back to Springfield to collect money and just collect tix from the attractions as there's nothing really left to be built of any significance. I have the toothpick tower and the Zirconia left to buy which will probably take about 2 months to save up to buy both, Plus half the land is yet to be purchased in Springfield so cash is a priority over KL tix.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've got about 18 hours left on the hotel that wiped out all my tickets. I'm slowly building them up again. How many are needed for Toothchipper?

NM.. It looks like next is Duff Pavillion... I'm going to have a ways to go to finish the KL buildings.

No problems for me on iOS, other than really slow loads. Well, every few days the server crashes and when it comes back I have to sign in again, but nothing like your problems.

I'm still using my KL characters in KL (no one new's been able to go over there in forever). The only thing I have to do is build my rating past four stars and buy real estate, so I still want the tickets, but I haven't felt the need to tackle in that in the several days since I finished the quests.

Back in Springfield, the only non-premium item I have yet to buy is the popsicle tower but that's not a huge priority for me. The zirconia wiped out my cash so I've been building that back up, but at the moment there's nothing I really need. My rating is 4.5 so I could build that up, but I don't really want to build dozens of Kwik-E-Marts just to do that, and I don't have the donuts to get a Sprawlmart or anything like that that would presumably really move the needle there. I am thinking about getting some of the premium weather items just to give me more options in the Channel 7 tasks.

Well technically there are apps out there that can get you 500 donuts at a time. But those aren't exactly sanctioned by EA.
