Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Everyone can rest now. I finally got the Claus Co. building!

The only pending prize is the ice god, but I don't care about it. So I'm, just in time, done!

$45,000 and XP9000 per tap would be great
Getting that three times for one friend's town would be spectacular!
I just tapped a new friend's corn. I got 3 XP and $16.

So it looks like the only mutual reward, where both the owner and the visitor get extra stuff for tapping, are from the Squidport tiles. Depending on the size of the owner's Squidport, I have received well over 800 XP per tap.

My daughter spun the wheel 17 times this weekend trying to get Claus Co.
Nothing but cash and gift cards. Sucked.

I finally got the last item on my wheel (Mr. Plow, which was the only thing I actually wanted)...only to reveal Plow King underneath!

Yeah... that one got me when I managed to get Mr. Plow.....

I'm just glad I'm done with the wheel.. Though I still get, and am sick of, the $1000 money spot.

I had seen the 151 number before, but assumed that they had raised the limit. If not, maybe the app only checks against the limit when you're trying to build a new tile. I can't remember how many I had when the first Christmas update forced me to build a new tile.

I'm trying hard not to tap all my ready tiles cuz I'm afraid I'll get the message that I've maxed out then. I haven't ever accidentally tapped a tile. The only time I had to rebuild one was after the Halloween update when it reset for everyone. Not sure if that makes a difference.
The 151 is the true number that you're limited to; taking advantage of the glitch, that number went up to 400, with only ~398 that can actually be placed on the water plots.

If at anytime you tap out your last tile after you've passed 151, you won't be allowed to start a new one. But as long leave one untapped, you're OK.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

When the Christmas update hit, my untapped tile was cleared and I can't build any more.

I have plenty of tiles for my waterfront, but I miss the XP.

That's strange. Usually, cash and gift cards are the only things that kids want for Christmas.

For whatever reason, that reminded me of:

Sounds like the plot set-up for an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Achau9598-that's happened to me once before when I went to the neighbourhood screen, I had neighbours that weren't mine.

I saved up 23 spins, unplugged the router, and within the first 3 had Claus Co and an ice statue, the last things that I needed. I plugged the router in and got the Bart screen, but when I connected I still had Claus Co. Lucky I guess. I'm so glad to be done with the Chtistmas event. I found it stressful due to the fact that I could never reciprocate gift bags. So to all who have given them to me-thank you. And if I wasn't able to give them back, sorry.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have about 130 tiles placed and 65 in storage. As long as I left about three in place, I didn't tap out accidentally, but when the Christmas update was about to happen, I panicked and cashed everything out. Sorry I did that now.

I've been multi-tapping my kid's tile, but I look at her game and it just shows one handshake.

Thanks, I've been wondering why that payout varies.

Does this works for the Channel 6 too? If so, I have the 2 day task ready, or it should be ready in a few minutes. It's a 2100 XP task.

My Channel 6 building is by the Squidport.

My squidport is tiny and when I use my feeder town it pays out over 1000XP per tap. When my friend tried it he got a little less though, but still over 1000XP. I wonder why it varies depending on the person tapping it?

11 spins .. no Claus Co. - but I did win with Drool Brittania at the track ... sadly that was the best odds one

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

End of the Christmas stuff I believe coming down the pipeline.. just started my game and its downloading a 262.7mb update...

Hopefully it doesn't cause me to lose any tiles that I have waiting to be tapped on my Squidport. Will find out in a few minutes.

**EDIT**

Ok.. still had gifts in my town.. and the spin wheel is still there.

Didn't lose any tiles that were ready on Squidport... Now sure what the update was for then...

Apparently that is a glitch with Origin. Not only are you in that person's town, you have full control. Some people have used the opportunity to vandalize. Spend all the donuts on junk. Sell everything.

It takes some coordination to reliably get three handshakes. Tap once. Leave. Open her town. Close. Repeat.

I suspect that what happens is... You tap multiple times and the server overwrites your previous taps. Opening her town in between saves the tile so that your next tap is added on.

I believe that it varies by how many tiles you've built rather than how many you've placed.

Story, since I just read this, I used my time travel machine and rooted for you too. Too bad about the outcome.

All characters free. Almost 8 million cash, 160 donuts that I'm saving for Disco Stu, but you never know.

Bring the update!

I tap her tile, then arrow to the next town OR exit to the neighbor screen, go back in, and tap the tile again. Sometimes I accidentally hit the Itchy and Scratchy Store next to it, but usually I get three taps in. This is how I do it for all my neighbors.

Of course I never see my other neighbors' games so maybe my taps aren't working there either!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have another town and what I have to do if I want my other town to get multiple handshakes is in Between taps, the other town has to go out to the neighbour screen and back in to synchronize. Then I tap again, go out and repeat.
So when you do your first tap, have your daughter logged in on another device. Tap, go out of her town. Meanwhile have her go to the neighbour screen and back Into her town to sync. You go back to her town, tap the tile, go out, and have her go out to the neighbour screen and back in. Repeat for the last tap.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

This is why, when I have time, I will tap on a neighbour tile in the morning, then do the second tap in the afternoon, the again at night. This gives them a chance to log in and sync and get multiple tiles. Otherwise they only get one.

Granted, I don't have as much time to do this anymore and with 90+ neighbours it's hard to keep track, but I used to a lot.

Hmm, that does sound familiar--I can get the multiple taps but the recipient doesn't get multiple tiles unless they're "redeemed" between my taps. Darn it--she also went a few days without playing while I kept tapping. Thanks for the reminder!
