Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I set Ralphie to burning things, then he was wandering on my boardwalk.

I'm getting more and more used to Krustyland. I still think it's a bit frustrating to have to go back and forth and to earn cash and points from scratch, but at least there's a lot of new stuff to do. I'm a bit confused, though, as I thought a prompt had said Ralphie and some other characters would appear in Krustyland when they had finished their current tasks, but I haven't gotten anyone there since Skinner. I'm also stuck at five customers even though I've added attractions and real estate. Maybe I just misread the various prompts.

It was really weird to visit someone's Krustyland and see no entrance.

I have my bus near my neverending escalator and sports complex and like it there, but keep thinking about moving it someplace easier to find.

Ack, I didn't realize this was the case for a lot of these shared tasks--two or more characters but only one earns $/XP. Fortunately Interrogate Flanders appears to be double credit (550 XP instead of 275), but I'll have to be careful about weighing convenience vs. productive time spent.

Babysit Rod and Todd is the only one I've noticed where they don't double (or triple) your money/XP when you have two (or three) characters on the task. I'm pretty sure the other shared tasks I regularly do -- Exercise for Mr. Burns, Interrogate Flanders, and Interrogate a Squealer -- do double your rewards.

That's good, since I use the one-hour ones fairly frequently.

And I do have Lisa's gymnastics bar but not Lukash's gym. Damn my cheap ass!

Again, I think if we all agree to put the shuttle on or very near the coast line that's a pretty easy way of being consistent / neighborly. I'm open to other areas to consider, but the line between land and water is pretty much "can't miss" in everyone's neighborhood.

I'm kinda bummed they fixed Comic Book Guy's line. Now it says, "Oooh, loneliness and cheeseburgers are a dangerous mix..." or something like that. I thought it was a lot funnier when all he said was, "Oooh, loneliness and cheeseburgers..." His unspoken conclusions for that combination is much, much funnier than him now stating what they are. Nitpicky, but I used to chuckle at it and now I'm bummed.

I just moved mine to my home screen so anyone visiting should see it first thing.

Just finished Krustyland part 14 with Krusty juggling, and got
Spoiler:
the ballon-popping game that gives free tickets (max: once every eight hours). Unfortunately the gift shop is crazy expensive and makes me regret having spent my tickets on pavilion tents and other kitsch.

Spoiler:
From what I've seen elsewhere, the game can also give 5 donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm at Krustyland task #12 I think.. It's nice that they add in random park guests, though you can't do anything with them, as you build up your park. They give tickets at least once a day, so that is nice. I haven't bought a ton or decorations, just a few fence pieces. I'm going to hold off making the park look nice until I have all the buildings and rides that I can get via tickets for quests.

The only issue with that is the home screen shifts if you buy more land and so then you have to do some rebuilding.

Cleary, I like my home screen the way it is and want everyone to conform to me. That said, I just tap on the Krustyland part of people's town in my friends menu to get there. I haven't had to search for a shuttle yet. Would probably even be quicker to leave his or her town and go back to the friends menu and do that than search for it.

I wish I hadn't of given in to the temptation of buying some decorations to raise my Krust-o-Meter but I did and you've confirmed my hesitancy should have been heeded. Plus, I only have three squares of land and two benches, two garbage cans, three pavilion tents, and two guard rails and the Kitsch rating is still only at one star? PLEASE.

I have 3 plots of land, 3 tents/stalls, 3 fences, 2 benches, a trash can, and more than half a dozen shrubs and my kitsch rating is at zero stars. WTF, Krusty?

That could be me, name starts with kut. Tons of glitches. They stuck my entrance sign in springfield along with a bunch of other stuff. I never rebought a new entrance and thought I would just leave it weird looking for now.

Yeah, no point in having a centralized location for the shuttle.

It would be easier for my layout to have it by the coast--I basically stuck it in a suburb next to my whacking park--but it seems quicker for others' and my own navigation to have it on home. Apparently I'm acquiring land fairly evenly since my screen has been largely the same (though I think I only can build south right now so we'll see).

Yeah, I have three tents, four palm trees, a garbage can, and three rails and I'm at one star. Clearly trying to acquire tickets by boosting the meter and the customers is a questionable strategy. While I didn't expect the small stuff to have as much impact as the Grub/Merch booths, I expected better from the tents.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Hi, everybody!
(Waits for reply)

Anyway, I just dumped all my friends so I could narrow it down to a more focused group of people I could better communicate with (aka DVDTalk friends). I also changed my Origin ID to Mazje. So if you get a friend request from Mazje, please accept. That's me.

Also, when I changed my name, the game "reset" the experience needed to level up, even though I kept my level/stuff. Basically allowed me to keep gettin easy experience and leveling up, thus granting me bonus donuts. I have no idea exactly what happened or if it's repeatable. Just passing it on.

I have mole man, squeaky teen and Kearny doing jobs in Krustyland. I noticed they are for sale again over in Springfield. I wonder if you can have them in both places if you buy?

Don't do it! Tstotips.com reported that was a glitch with premium characters who have krustyland tasks. You'd end up paying a second time with no benefit.

I have SVTeen but he hasn't come to my Krustyland yet.

Yeah, I think I saw the Springfield with the Krustyland entrance tonight. Very strange.

I put my coffeehouse in storage to free up SV Teen, but he still wasn't going to Krustyland. Thinking he might be tied to a certain task, I decided to take a look at your Krustyland to see if you might be ahead of me. Holy crap--nice work!

How do I get Krusty Land tickets so I can buy more items? Right now, I have 150-ish and need 300 or 400 to buy Krusty Burger to complete the next Krusty Land quest. I just have to keep clicking on my Krusty Land sign and two buildings I was able to build plus visit friend's Krusty Lands?

Send your characters on tasks. They earn tickets.

Yep. Keep sending any characters in Krusty Land on tasks so they earn tickets. Once you build the next building, I think you get some random people that show up. You can't do anything with them, but a couple times a day they generate tickets for you if you tap on them when they have a ticket floating over their head. They just wander around Krustyland and don't really do anything.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Anyone get a small update recently when opening the game? I was in it about an hour or so ago. Just fired it up to check on a quest, and it downloaded a small update. Not sure what it did.

question. this is a game question, but also a technical question.

i used to play this on my galaxy s3 phone. when i'd get a notification for a character, the notification would be silent. i upgraded to the galaxy s4. now when i get a character notification, it always vibrates my phone. i am trying to figure out what i did to where i didn't get those vibrations for notifications. any thoughts?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, as with any quest it's important to have characters free when things finish up so they can appear in Krustyland. The ones I currently have in KL are Homer, Comic Book Guy, Skinner, Cletus, Millhouse, Kearney, Lisa, Bart, and (obviously) Krusty. Comic Book Guy is the most recent one, and Kearney is a premium character I bought accidentally. I'm currently building the gift shop so you won't have all of them available for KL yet. EDIT: Forgot Martin.

Has anyone tried this gamezino site? I just read about it and clicked through--some great prices like $25 for 2500 donuts, and some expired premium items that I had written off.

If you don't want the notifications at all, go into options (click on build, ten click the i in the upper right of the build window) and turn off push notifications.

If you want the notifications, but want them to be silent, that is a setting on your phone in terms of how it handles notifications rather than a game setting.
