Re: Comic Conventions

I thought it was a poorly done Minecraft cosplay at first.

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

I'm the opposite. I mostly listen to metal, and most band shirts are so over the top and garish that I prefer when it's just the band logo. Maybe some small graphic, but not much.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

To be clear, I'm not going to Cruel World. Lineup is awesome, but I can't imagine enjoying that setup, especially in only one day. I'm seeing the Numan/Ministry tour.

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

It surprised me how many early popular songs weren't written by the artists who made them famous. Quite a large percentage were either written by someone for the artist who performed it, or were...

Re: The increasingly tricky business of video games

I suppose that's probably true. Many people have PS+ strictly for online access. I also see on the New Monthly Offerings posts that Sony puts out where half of the comments are "I just bought that...

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

I'll be seeing that show in April. I've already seen, and enjoyed, Numan before. Ministry is a bucket list band I've wanted to see for a long time. Gotta get it in before great-grand-Uncle Al finally...

Re: The increasingly tricky business of video games

I wonder this, too. Like Decker, I've only bought one game in 10 years or more, and that was just the Lego Avengers game for my kids at a super steep discount. For myself, once I picked up PS+ back...

Re: Ticketmaster--where's the outrage?

I don't really have a problem with what artists are charging for their shows. As others have said, they don't make much from the actual music anymore, and their prices reflect what the market is...

Re: Dune: Part Two (2024, D: Villeneuve) 2une: I Could Dune This All Day

Is there as much whisper-talking in this movie as part 1? I had to turn on subtitles to understand what they were saying during large parts of the movie.

Re: Borderlands (2024, D: Roth) S: Blanchett, Hart, Black, Greenblatt, Munteanu, Curtis

At least they modulated Black's voice quite a bit. As far as Moxxi, it didn't seem like it to me when playing the game, either. I guess I missed some of her dialogue. It was pointed out on other...

Re: Borderlands (2024, D: Roth) S: Blanchett, Hart, Black, Greenblatt, Munteanu, Curtis

Moxxi is supposed to be in her 50s, so Gershon's age isn't as bad as some of the others.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

I like April Art, although I haven't listened to the most recent album yet.

Re: Anyone But You (2023, D: Gluck) -- S: Sydney Sweeney, Glen Powell

My wife and I enjoyed it. It's nice to have an easygoing comedy that wasn't incredibly over the top.

Re: How many episodes do you give a series before you say, "I'm out!"

It's rare that I watch a series brand new, as I usually wait until a series has completed its run before watching one. If a series only gets one season, and is then canceled, I generally don't bother...

They look the part, I guess. I still don't see how Hart is the best choice for Roland.

Re: Vizio sold to Walmart

For their price point, Vizio's seemed to be pretty decent TVs. They were generally at the top of my list if choosing for a non-home theater location. Like lwhy? said, it'll be interesting to see if...

Re: Openings or title cards to shows you always stick around for?

I'll watch them the first time I see the show, possibly at the beginning of each season, but will skip them every time after that. And yeah, that includes Peacemaker. Things like Lost I don't skip,...

Re: Best Superbowl halftime show?

I enjoyed this one for everything except Usher's part. Prince's was awesome. I seem to recall really liking Bruno Mars' performance however far back that was.

Re: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)

I think this is the first I've heard of Carrey retiring, aside from this movie. I'm all for people doing what they find best in life, but I really liked him in most movies, especially when he moved a...

Re: Breaking Bad --> Series Finale --> "Felina" --> 9/29/13

My wife and I recently finished up a marathon of BCS and BB, along with El Camino. I also noticed the same things you did at the end of it all. First time around, I was behind Walt most of the way,...

Re: Echo (Disney+) 1/9/2024

I liked the show overall. Certainly found it more interesting than I initially thought I would upon announcement.
