Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

I suppose it's because one of the tracks was called "G-Spot Tornado."

Still, leave it Zappa to release an instrumental album that gets labeled for having explicit lyrics.

Re: Comic Book Cover Of The Day

It makes me wonder if that 100-copy bundle that survived is from an affidavit return, and thus stolen.

Here's quick explanation of the illegal practice by Chuck Rozanski from his "Tales from the...

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

When I was a kid, nobody ever told me I couldn't listen to this or watch that movies, and I watched any kind of movies I wanted to listened to any kind of music I wanted to. Been watching R-rated...

Re: Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+) -- News, rumors, etc.

As long as Millie Bobby Brown does the full frontal nudity instead of Ken Jeong, I'd watch it.

Re: Comic Book Cover Of The Day

That is a horrifying image.

I don't think I ever saw newsstand comics with marks like those; most damage just came from regular handling or people bending the covers forward on the spinner...

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

Yeah, I always thought it was kind of funny how the PMRC doled out their outrage.

On the one hand, you have songs like "Darling Nikki" and "She Bop" that were either hits or on really popular...

Re: Superman (2025, D: Gunn)

After Jim Lee sold Wildstorm to DC, I remember the Wildstorm Universe remained a separate entity from the DC Universe proper, and I think they finally integrated the Wildstorm characters into the DC...

Re: Superman (2025, D: Gunn)

Brainiac was, at one point, supposed to be in Superman III but apparently they couldn't afford both him and Richard Pryor, so Brainiac was written out of it.

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

Yeah... I have that 12", too. Thank you, Tipper!

I have the first several WASP albums on vinyl... W.A.S.P., The Last Command, Inside the Electric Circus, Live In the Raw, and Headless Children....

Re: Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+) -- News, rumors, etc.

And, yet, like Goyer, it seems like he's one of Hollywood's go-to guys for genre material.

Re: Superman (2025, D: Gunn)

I don't know. Not sure why Gunn would use Angie as the villain when he could use Brainiac, a legacy Superman antagonist who has yet to appear on film.

Plus it still seems kind of weird to think of...

Re: What's your Unpopular Music Opinion?

WASP always struck me as the epitome of the b-list 80s metal band. They were good at being a metal band, but just didn't have what it took to really cross over into the mainstream. Guys weren't...

That photo with the boxes is hilarious. Why even bother with the photos if you're going to demand something like that.

I can understand actresses not wanting random guys pawing on them, or using...

Re: Eric Carmen dead at 74

Yeah, that's one bad thing about the internet... back in the day you could read books, listen to music, and watch movies it ignorant bliss.

But about twenty or twenty-five years ago, we suddenly...

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread

You likely got flagged because you hadn't logged into the account for four years, then suddenly logged in to buy a toy, which is something you'd probably never bought or even did a search for before....

Re: Dune: Part Two (2024, D: Villeneuve) -- The Spoiler Reviews Thread

Yes, it does.

It's been a long time since I've read the Dune novels; it was in either junior high or high school, and I don't really remember all of the stuff the author of the article...

Re: Superman (2025, D: Gunn)

Looking at the cast list on wikipedia, it does look really crowded.

I wonder if a lot of the other supes -- Hawkgirl, Metamorpho, Guy Gardner, Mr Terrific, and the Engineer -- will be in some form...

Re: Future DC Studios projects discussion thread - News, rumors, etc.

Really hope that Titans film is based on the classic Wolfman/Perez lineup from the 80s -- Nightwing, Troia, Kid Flash/Impulse, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven, and Changeling.

Re: The "comics are too expensive" thread

To be brutally honest, there's no way hell I'm ever going to spend one or two hundred bucks a week on a bunch of capeshit.

Jesus... even if I wanted to read that stuff I'd just pirate it. But I...

Re: The "comics are too expensive" thread

I ditched the Marvel and DC Universes when they went above $2 an issue.

At this point, I buy very few things. Over the past twenty years, I've only bought things like Hellblazer, Walking Dead,...

Re: Random comic-related pic thread

You should scan that stuff and send it to Archive.org. There would probably be some interest in those.

I'd really like to find some scans of Mile Comics' old Mile High Futures catalogs from the...
