I didn't really think about it like that. I just always pick the medium difficulty. I will say that in GTA4 I would re-load my game every time I died so that I didn't have any "deaths" on my record....

Actually it looks like I'm almost there. I just need to get through the die.deckers mission and the next one is the aircraft carrier which is where you get the hover bike or so I've heard.
