Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

Are they going to get away from the ridiculous cop/wanted structure implemented in 4? I swear I couldn't go 100 feet without attracting them. We want mayhem, damn it!

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

I've played them all and GTA IV was my favorite in the series. I hope they take V more in the direction of Ballad of Gay Tony though. I loved the realism of 4, but GTA needs to be a little over the top too.

I'm just really curious what the setting will be. I'd love a large area like San Andreas with multiple cities - I doubt that's possible with GTA IVs level of graphics though...

This game better step up with Saints Row The Third clearly kicking all sorts of ass.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

It looks like this one is possibly going to be set in a mock Vegas - notice the spade that makes up the "V" and obviously...it looks like a 5 dollar bill - I know it's somewhat goofy to start specualtions like this but I only bring it up because the same is running ramapant across the web right now.

I don't know why I think so but maybe it's the D.C. area?

It might be interesting, tons of landmarks and a very definable good side and bad side of town.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

I know this series is beloved, but I was bored to tears with GTA IV. I'll read the reviews and make a decision based on that, but I doubt I would buy it when it comes out.

I wasn't bored to tears, but it was a big step down from San Andreas for me. I will wait for a drop in price, because this is a series where I simply cannot trust the reviewers.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

Looking forward to it. Loved IV a lot more then San Andreas, so I can't wait to see where the new location is.

Nah, as much as I love it - IV was hugely flawed and the main story was a bit of a let down - same goes for gameplay and a few other areas but it's the detail that I love....the expansion packs went into even more detail - I just ended up loving it but I can see why a lot of people would have been frustrated.

...the reviews for IV were glowing to say the least.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5

Maybe they can integrate some stuff from L.A. Noire. I've always wanted to pick up hair brushes and empty bottles with Niko.
