Seems to Me like some of you guys are a little too serious about this game.

There is no payoff. No end result and you can't win.

I enjoy the game but some of this sounds obsessive compulsive with planning out specific lengths and not doing specific sections of the game because every thing has to line up within minutes of each other.

I'm not from Shelbyville.

Btw anyone need some delicious lemons for their iced tea?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Look, everybody! I found a picture of whotony! Get back to your turnip juice, pal!

I will say that for the first nine months I was hard up for cash and was having a blast with all the new stuff so I had very regimented tapping on this game. Lately, I have millions and no new stuff so I tap less... but the hankering to stay regimented is still there. It's like I have to remind myself I have more in-game cash than I could ever spend so let it go. Habits, ya know.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I have like $20 million at this point so I'm not super concerned with timing things and payouts anymore. I usually alternate between setting everyone on 24 hour tasks and setting people to my favorite animated tasks for fun. When I started though I was all about getting as many taps in per day since that was the biggest payout.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

In the morning before I leave for work, everyone is sent on a 12h task. In the evening before I turn in for bed, everyone is sent on a 4-6-8h task (as long as possible, but I want them done by 6am so I can task them the next morning).

In between my get-home time and my go-to-bed time, if I get a chance to play the game I'll send everyone on 1h tasks except:

* Maude - her 1h task sucks Ned in and only pays for 1 character. She'll go on a 4h task if it can complete before bed, or a longer task if not.
* Legs / Tony - their 1h task involves each other, but pays for 1. They get tasked like Maude
* Mr. Burns - I use Smithers instead. His 1h task involves Burns but pays for 2. If I send Burns on a 1h task, Smithers has no short tasks and he gets "Mauded".

Me buzz, are you sure about Legs and Louie? I thought that paid for two. Note to self: check before doing that task any more.

Not that I can't spare the cash ...

Guinea pigs?

I haven't finished St. Paddys day or gotten Stompy yet!

I never did get my 5 donuts either!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I maxed out the Friend Points as well. If it's true that dollars are boosted but not XP, I consider that EA's middle finger to longtime players who are swimming in cash.

I understand what people are saying about syncing tasks, and I try to do that as well. Characters who have joint tasks or tasks tied to premium items I don't own mess up my schedule, but it doesn't bother me too much. It's more annoying for me to get stalled on quests than to miss out on $ and XP.

I do think the Stampy 12-hour task
Spoiler:
is worth running just for the animation.

I'm starting to get really pissed. It has been over a week since some jerkoff screwed up my city and EA still hasn't fixed it.

While they didn't increase the XP, I've gotten 5-10 donuts from visits since maxing FP.

I do think the Stampy 12-hour task

I assign characters bam-bam-bam.
Spoiler:
I have the Aztec Theater. Bart's 3-hour task pays more than his 4-hour task. But I rarely take the extra care required to send him there. So Bart's had his ride on Stampy. Now it's back to his skateboard.

Got my first donut from visiting a friend!

Another thing about Stampy: It'd be nice if he were visible so we could see if a neighbor had maxed out on friend points, in which case I wouldn't need to vandalize instead of tapping long-building targets. Though by now I'm assuming everyone has and I'm resisting the vandalizing.

Just checked and that task is $70 and 17 XP like a regular character's hourlong task.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I never realized that about Legs and Louie. Lame.

Also didn't know about the 3-hour task Aztec Theater difference. May have to go that route more often. Makes sense, as a premium building.

I've seen Stampy in other peoples' towns and have tapped accordingly.

While the premium hamster and statue don't interest me, the free building does.

Stampy should always be visible to visitors. The game is still doing the Valentine's thing where all characters doing inside tasks are forced outside for visitors.

Should finish off friend points today, thank goodness!

Are there more points past Stampy?

Yeah, it's like how I always assign Kirk to the Cracker Factory since I've gotten it. Even if the eight-hour tasks don't sync to the rest of my characters' tasks, the payout is generally worth it even if I miss a cycle.

Hmm, that makes sense, though offhand I don't recall having seen Stampy, but then I haven't been looking for him either. Maybe I gave up on vandalizing prematurely.

I was recently bragging about my new phone, but I'm still getting crashes. No freezes, though.

Nope, but some of us have gotten donuts for neighbor taps

The best one is the observatory, which gives six-hour tasks to both Martin and Skinner that pay better than their eight hour ones.

Does anyone know if Barney becomes unlockable or will I have to spend doughnuts on him?

He's considered a premium add-on, so donuts-only, paired with the Bowlerama.

If you got the Plow King skin over last Christmas, it remains locked in your inventory until you purchase Barney.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I think that Observatory is cool but I keep holding off on buying it because I heard it's part of a Gil sale that's in the code but hasn't been used yet.

It's strange, but now that I've saved up 190 donuts and could buy and one awesome or 2-3 mini items, I'm paralyzed by choice. Can't figure out what to spend them all on!
