Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

So I didn't play all day and just loaded the game in my iPhone. And lo and behold a new update, I updated earlier this morning. I was back to level 38, my roses are still growing, and Homer went to the blimp. And some level 38 tasks are pending...

At least my iPhone and my Nexus 7 tablet are in sync.

And oh yeah, my tile is still there.

But I will wait until tomorrow to say that I'm OK.

Immediately after today's update my tile was tapped and a handshake added. More recently two other folks can't see my tile.

A little bit earlier, I tapped on someone else's corn, and he saw no handshake at all. Just the corn.
Thanks! I'm wondering if maybe we can only get one tap total on the corn and tile per 24 hours? So only one neighbour can do it and that's it? I won't be able to confirm until tomorrow night, but if that's the case, that sucks.

Is there anything special about VD in terms of having to tap neighbours? Cuz if there is, I don't see it.

I haven't unlocked any such ability. If it's part of the Valentine's update, the only thing I've done is start the roses growing. They won't finish until tomorrow.

I was able to find a tile in Funkpie's town, I wonder if anyone else can tap it now. When I tapped his tile before, I was getting about 500xp. When I tapped it today, I got a little bit of money and a tiny bit of xp. I didn't count, but it looked like the same as for tapping any of the buildings.

I also have a tiny defunct neighbor that I've kept around. Usually, I'm the only visitor and all the buildings are available. Whenever I tapped, I would see my name float up. Today, I couldn't tap anything. I checked back several times and wasn't even able to get the Simpson house.

Exactly my problem but I'm on android. Homer has the blimp and squishee missions again and wiggum has to procrastinate. The roses are not only still growing, it seems they reset back to the full time.

This is correct, after you've unlocked The Wheel, the only taps available in neighboring towns are V-Day Cards and Sideshow Bob.

In my case, the roses were supposed to be ready in 12 hours, but after last night update, it seems they changed to a 24 hours task, because they still needed 13 hours to complete.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Quick question. I have a boardwalk tile that I've kept up for nearly a week and I have around 5 handshakes on it.

Why am I waiting to collect that again?

Yeah, that's what it is. Mine were supposed to be done around 2 this morning but I checked and they still had like 6 hours so I thought they had just reset but it was actually changing to a 24 hour task.

I said screw it and sped them up anyway.

My first spin on the wheel and I ended with the arrow on one side of the peg and got the other prize so that still hasn't been fixed apparently.

Unless I'm missing something, you should collect all but one.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Fairly painless update for me. I waited till my triffids finished, started corn, then installed it. I've had a few graphic glitches, but nothing so bad that I've needed to reinstall. I'm on an iPhone 5S--my 4 used to crash all the time, including every time I went to Krustyland.

Building the roses (but don't have witch Marge--I read that note quickly and thought it was Suzanne the Witch or Maude, and was disappointed when neither of those could help me).

I hope there's a community angle for this event. I've held off on neighbor visits for two days and now feel like I might have lost out on tile-tapping.

I wish I had Witch Marge.

I have hearts now. Two spins to the wheel, and both received a fence, or fences. Oh well.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You visit neighbors and tap characters, you start off with 5 hearts per tap it drops down to 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 after you get through about 50 neighbors. Every 200 hearts is a spin on the wheel. You collect all the prizes on the wheel, looking like there is just the 10 or so prizes(no replacements) and you get a love tunnel ride for krustyland. I've collected 5 spins the first day. 5 different items, nothing great or notable, a fountain, a cart, some heart balloons. Some other stuff I already had, the pink train. I don't think there are any community prizes.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah.. witch Marge would be nice.. I don't have her.

I managed to get 5 spins today.. 1 they give you since its part of a quest.. Then I got 4 more as a result of collecting hearts.... I was kind of surprised there were no individual and community prizes like the previous events. I guess they are getting tired of coming up with ideas....

I think I got one repeat item on my 5 spins, the bench. I ended up getting 2 benches, 1 heart pond, 1 pink gazebo, and the Choo-choo train that I did not have already.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Farm:
- I planted corn immediately before downloading the VD update. It hyper-accelerated and I cashed out cash and XP.
- I am nearing the end of my 24h rose-growing task.

Squidport:
- Pre-tapped all but 2 handshakes. VD update wiped out my remaining handshakes and I cannot start any more tile tasks because I have too many.

Channel 6:
- Pre-tapped and set it on the 16h News task. VD left it unchanged, News task was at 15h+ and counting after the update.

Levels:
- Was on L38 before and after the update.
- Got the "congrats on achieving L38" splash screen after the update and "won" 2 donuts
- Homer was sent to go ride the blimp
- The first of the three "legal" quests began - Wiggum is doing something right now. Those questlines take approx 7d to complete, though 36h of that is saved because I've already built the Courthouse.

I'm about a day behind everyone due to server errors and my attempts to halt my Springfield from synching on one platform while installing on another - I really wanted to get my Squidport back into "let's build another tile" mode. I will have my first VD farm task done this evening and will start visiting all of my trusty friends to begin sharing hearts with everyone.

This may be the day I create a feeder town. Dunno, gotta decide if I've got enough time for that.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Here is the sort of graphical glitch that I am getting.

The blue house in the background is on top of the white house. This also happens at certain buildings when characters walk in front of them. The only part of the character visible will be the feet on the sidewalk. I've visited my town as a neighbor from a relatives device and see the same glitches from there.

I've contacted EA, but haven't heard back yet. I also contacted them about the donuts that I lost. They gave them back and tossed me a couple extra. I'd rather that they made the confirmation option the default. As I told them, I'm tired of babysitting that option.

Did the tiles stopped working? Or no one has tapped on mine in the last 24 hours?

Looking like it resets each day, I'm back up to 5 hearts for the first 30 or so taps this morning.

I started earlier than most yesterday with the valentine tapping, but today a few of my neighbors don't have any tap options so far, where I was 100% on all my neighbors yesterday. I don't know if all their characters are currently already tapped so it's not showing me anything, or how it works
