Post-event App update is in the iOS app store (Play and Amazon forthcoming).
It simply removes the snow and holiday elements, plus some changes to the Origin login and Origin navigation on the neighbor screens.
Nothing new gameplay-wise right now, but there will likely be another update before the end of the week.

She doesn't technically have to redeem them, just exit and enter her town in between taps. I always keep 3 tiles up to make sure if I tap one I won't have to rebuild my tile.

I did have to log back in... but no issues in my town.. it's weird seeing everything so green again. Didn't lose any tiles waiting at Squidport either.

Sitting on 11 million in cash, 237 donuts, and 115K gift cards. I need to see if I can buy some attractions that come with XP. I did splurge on the cracker factory, the bumblebee man (to free up a Channel 6 task), and the devil float for its XP multiplier.

I'm level 37 and feel like I'm constantly struggling for cash. I have a blue house farm filling three squares. Is there something else I should be doing?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
It's a legit question.
Majorjoe, do you use blue houses because their revenue cycle is how often you play? Syncing your people and house tasks to those cycles earns money more efficiently. I have a lot of cash because I've been playing since Halloween 2012, but I also avoid buying real estate unless I need it. Multipliers and neighbors help too.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I've got probably 30 neighbors. I use the blue houses because I can cash in 2-3 times daily with them depending on when my daughter wakes me up/if I'm working or not. I send all my characters on an 8 hour task before I leave for work, a short task when I get home and then an 8 hour before bed.
I don't have much in the way of multipliers, because I've only bought donuts once and used them on Frink's lab and the Bowlerama. I visit all my friends daily, but at $54 a town, it doesn't seem to add up to much.

If you got the Christmas prizes, the totem pole and most snow critters had multipliers. The weekly gift box is another source. Every once in a while it will give me a multiplier item like a lemon tree or white picket fence. Adding stars to your conformity meter will also add a multiplier. My total is somewhere around 25%.

The gift box sometimes has stealth-useful items that look stupid but actually help with multipliers, like the white picket fences. I should check again to see if I can actually benefit from hedges and newspaper dispensers....
I just checked a pink house and got 18 XP instead of 12 so I guess my multiplier is 50%. Not bad considering I've only bought a few premium items--e.g., no Springfield sign, not many cars, etc.

As I always say, new players should feel free to add any of us who are active in this thread. Speaking for myself, I don't turn down invites. I'm getting close to 100 but at least a few people on my list have stopped playing and can easily be trimmed.

Crikey, 11 million and hundreds of donuts.
I visit my neighbors every day and only buy land when I need it. I have about 65 donuts and hover around $100k.
As soon as I get to $200k I have to buy a $160k building so it goes out again.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I think most of the people that have millions started in 2012. So they have been at the top level since level 20 or so, when that was the top level. So they have more time to just earn cash.
I started in 2012, but I have been buying all the land, so it was just until a few months ago that I started saving a lot of money.

I rarely have this many donuts but I bought the $20 pack around New Year's. I think I've bought one premium building, a Krustyland ride, and some small multipliers. Plus a few mistake purchases such as Kearney.

Well looks like I am now maxed out with friends too. The tiles being maxed makes me mad. My final handshake disappeared on me as I was tapping a nearby building!

I've been struggling with money until the Christmas update. I haven't built any buildings since it started. Between that and the multiplier boost, I've got almost a million. More money than I've ever had.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Well, I had my characters free all day yesterday, in case the level 38 was released, I will do the same today, but before going to bed, sent all my characters in 8 hrs tasks.
And then I received the prompt for the mystery box, and got 30 donuts!!! So Disco Stu is now mine.

Majorjoe, I updated your info on the OP.
I left people on their 8-hour task to hunt for the Simpsons so between that, gift bags, and visiting the towns of friends who didn't do the update yet, I earned two more spins last night.
Both money, both on either side of the Snow Monster.
This morning I earned two more spins through gift bags and 8-hour hunting tasks.
Both money, both on either side of the Snow Monster. The last one was so, so close.
So I'm letting it go. I'm going to go download the update now and I'm cool with it. The thing I really wanted was Claus Co. because it's a building and I like having three skyscrapers side-by-side in downtown.
