I got Barney on the wheel but I don't have him. Guess I am going to pony up to buy him now.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

First order of business today: Collect all the presents and gift bags that had piled up overnight.

Second order of business today: Start a new Lisa quest that requires me to collect 50 presents.

I felt guilty about collecting bags when I really don't need them any more so I posted a message asking people not to give them to me. Hope it doesn't come across as rude.

After months of placing new buildings (other than houses) wherever I could find space and only buying enough real estate to accommodate them, I've finally begun rearranging my town. I have a downtown business district, restaurant row, all the schools together, etc. Still a work in progress, but I like it so far. I could really use Duff's brewery or the cracker factory for my industrial district, though.

No question the cash on the wheel is a complete waste. It's like getting $250 in the mystery box but worse because, as was said, you had to work for it. Right now I only have three cash slots on my wheel with the rest gift cards, but all those are going to earn me is, right, another spin on the wheel. Maybe cash isn't so bad after all.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

TSTO crashes for me at start up every single time. I've closed/reopened, shutdown/rebooted, deleted/reinstalled... no joy.

Android tablet, loads of memory, and no issues like this whatsoever through months of play and many updates. I can only get the game to actually start is by logging out, watching the "n00b" video as Homer blows up Springfield, and poke around a bit. As soon as I log in, it crashes. My guess is that there's something in my EA synch file that's screwing the game up.

I've been sending him on the 10 hour snowmobile, since it's a way to get GCs out of Rod and Todd

FYI I tried to visit your town twice today and both times my game crashed.

Yeah, that's what I was doing before I got Santa Ned. Never did the math to figure out which was more beneficial.

Time to open a ticket with EA. They should be able to restore your account and give you some donuts.

I'm trying to give some gift bags and most people is already full.

I got a $50 itunes gift card for Christmas. Hello donuts! I'll probably go in for $20 worth, get the bonus and buy the bowlerama and something else.

It's worse today, but some people are perpetually littered with gift bags. For some reason, I don't feel great incentive to give more bags to those people.

But with no more need for GCs, I'm back to looking for tappable boardwalk tiles.

I think with snowmobiling you get 35 GC for each of the 3 characters for 105, Santa Flanders gets 7 GC for his 1 hour task.

The weird thing is that (a) I can play my town on my iPod Touch just fine; and (b) I can play on my Android tablet if I don't log in. Sure, it's not MY town and I'm back at Level 4 or 5, but the game clearly works and my savefile clearly works - just not on the device I've been using.

I'll open a ticket. Thanks.

PS - I've just played/saved again on my iThing. If someone wants to visit my town and let me know if it crashes your game I'd appreciate it - the more info for the EA techs the better.

Ken I had no problems visiting. Dropped off a few bags when I was there.

Thanks. Unless I miss my guess it looks like the game works fine if I use my iTouch, and others can visit if the last time I played/saved was on the iTouch. When I use the Tablet it crashes and sets it to crash anyone else who comes by to visit.

I moved my Christmas tree so it's right next to the Squidport entrance - I'm hoping folks will use one of their three taps to "tile" me.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

FWIW - I've been playing only the 5:1 dog exclusively at the race track and I'm winning slightly less than half of my races. Not quite 50-50, but even if it's only 2 wins in 5, I'm up big, and it's been fairly consistent for the past couple of weeks. Don't know if EA tweaked the odds or if I've just been extraordinarily lucky, but I would recommend trying the 5:1 dog a few times to see if you don't get the same outcome.

After 10 tries today I finally won Helter Skelter! Holy cow I nearly soiled myself.

I moved the egg nog bar and all my Christmas stuff close to the steel Christmas tree, a big thank you to everyone who is tapping them!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The worst thing about the money on the wheel is that despite only being 30% of the available slots, they hit more than 50% of the time. Infuriating!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got four tokens in gift bags/presents today. Add to that my egg nog token and a few for getting 100 gc and suddenly my wheel had a lot of gc/cash on it that I fortunately haven't hit yet. I got a yeti and several snowmen today. Still need clausco.

Ha, my wheel hits money a lot more than 50%! Probably close to 75-80%.
