You're referring to the Primanti sandwiches. FWIW, they're really not as good as you'd imagine, but they're still pretty tasty. Pittsburgh's other local culinary specialty is actually the one that your arteries should fear. Pierogies are deadly. I think I'm still recovering from the one I had in 2006.

I'll be at the Braves/Pirates game this evening cheering against the home team. I'll try to drop by late, but I'm wicked tired since the baby/toddler/monster is teething something like twelve teeth all at once and sleeping much less than normal.
i might also do it. picking up my copy at gamestop after work. I preordered it on sunday.

I won't have time to play tonight, but I'm seriously considering picking up a copy from Best Buy locally and then returning my Amazon copy to Best Buy when it arrives. The sickness runs deep.

I'm thinking:

- K&N lobby again, probably the same Eucadia map as last week...or maybe Garden Showdown
- Maybe a Rumble Dome DM somewhere in the night, assuming Slider still wants to see it
- Grinder with vehicular manslaughter
- Zombie (wish I'd called it "Infected") on Urban Strike with no Warhawks...or maybe on Hot Zone (the Omega Factory map that Flip used to load), but I think it's DM only
Need to modify those Zombie rules. No team killing and we need to restrict weapons for both sides. Ill throw out there knives, machine guns and flame throwers only for the zombies. Not real sure on what the survivors should be able to use...I would say everything except mines and that includes mounted machine guns, although maybe once the teams are even the survivors should be able to use everything.

And I think a person needs to be killed by a zombie to become a zombie, accidental team kills shouldn't count.

Yup. Would be nice if team kill couild be 0% for these maps, but I am doubtful you can do it on a per map basis.

Also, welcome to last page.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I'd love to modify zombie rules, but give me a week...no time to update RL friends on complicated rules between now and 7.

I'm not sure I agree about the weapons anyway. If you have a flame thrower and a machine gun, I guess I don't get the point. Are the rocket launcher and binocs the problem?

My thought process on team kills was: If you're dead, you're a zombie...doesn't matter how it happened. I also thought (correctly) that it would end in funny douchey goodness with survivors killing each other early and diming each other out late.

Let's see if jeeps change the dynamic at all...planning to use Urban Strike sans Warhawks. It's a bigger map, but with fewer great hiding places.

The idea of a zombie mode is to be like a zombie movie. Why would I kill a human when there are zombies coming after me? I want all the help I can get...yeah, if you get killed, then your head is coming off as I don't want you to be a zombie to come eat me, but as long as you are human, we are in this together. And we are hunkering down together because the second we get separated, one of us is going to die. Also, as a human, we are smart and know how to use weapons against the horde of zombies coming at us. Zombies, on the other hand, are dumb and rely on overrunning you with numbers, not with team work and dumb fire explosives(binocs especially). Also, as a human I only have one life, so my motivation is to live and all of my actions should be consistent with that. Zombies on the other hand effectively live forever as they keep coming in hordes, so they care less about suicide runs and also less effective weapons are not a problem as you can just come back and widdle away at them...and all you need to do is pick off one or 2 survivors and all of the sudden the tide has turned.

So, the point of weapon limiting is that survirors should be encouraged to hunker down together...if zombies have binocs or rocket launchers or even grenades then it is very easy to take out a cluster of people. It should be hard for zombies to get kills in the beginning because they are slow and dumb. Likewise it should be hard for survivors to outlive the horde as the survivor numbers dwindle down. It should not really be a lame game of hide and seek where it is every survivor for himself, but all the zombies are on the same team. Makes zero sense and is not really any fun(not sure how being binoced on the roof of a building by my own teammate 5 seconds into the match is fun just so I end up on the zombie team to come hunt them down).

Honestly we have all seen zombie movies so I think the rules are pretty simple and make sense so it is not hard to explain. The only thing that could be debated is what weapons to allow, but I do think machine guns and flame throwers are a good start for the zombies...that way they have to get close up, just like "real" zombies.
