It's definitely gone up a notch just for the custom soundtrack.

Just access the XMB while in-game (press the PS button), select the song you want to play from the Music menu (assuming you already have some MP3s loaded on your PS3), click on it, and Voilą!

Will it play a preselected playlist in this fashion?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Pretty sure the answer is "yes" since you can build playlists inside the XMB.

Any requests for tonight, other than no DLC after 8CST?

I was thinking about a K&N lobby...maybe the Eucadia one we used to play, but if I can only use DLC until 8, I need three good expansion maps to start. The only good expansion K&N that I can think of is Rumble Dome...but some folks hate that map, so maybe we'll just stick with Grinder with VM rules. I definitely want to do Tug of War with no Warhawks, and folks seemed to enjoy Pipeline last week.

Then it'll be non-expansion bread and butter kind of stuff: Urban Strike, King of the Hill, Supply Chain, Archipelago, Over the Bridges...etc.

You know I've been joining you guys now for a couple of months and I still don't pick up on some of the terminology. Do these Urban Strike, King of the Hill, Supply Chain, Archipelago, Over the Bridges refer to maps or to gameplay modes? I usually just kill the other team/players and Cap flags when I see them. And watch lots of respawn footage when you guys inevitibly kill me.

All maps.

The modes we usually play are DM, TDM and CTF. Every now and then, we'll play Zones, Collection, or Hero, but not very often since they are so hard to balance.

And I'm not a big fan of overly complicated rules (ahem). I just roll with "no mines, no TOWs, play friendly"...seems to work out.

I'd also like to request Cruz be limited to one or two smilies per post.

Our base was surrounded by (at least) two Warhawks, a tank, and another on foot. After about my 10th death within a few seconds of spawning (all of which were without the flag even being there), I had enough.

Even though I complained about base raping, they still didn't back off.

There's few enemy tactics that pisses me off about this game: that's the big one.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Other than lopsided games and chasing Chew off ( ), great night!

RECORD ATTENDANCE!!!! 16 people on at one point, and I want to say more than that total.

I can't remember specifics right this minute, but I know I laughed a lot at something. Either Nic or R2 said the funniest damn thing, and it's slipped my mind. Loved Lee asking 5 minutes in what mode we were playing. That death match on Urban Strike had to be the best map of the night, and that horde mode that we tied in the last 10 seconds was pretty good too.

Slider was on my nerves a little more than usual tonight, but it must've just been me. I just got really sick of spawning into that damn tank when we were already down 2-0. He continued to whip my ass through the horde-mode as well as I made flag runs. I especially loved him at the bottom of the ladder waiting to rocket launcher me after I'd fought my way through two other dudes.

Lee was in the tank, and I don't think he realized exactly what he was doing...said he might send you a note on PSN. The 3 guys in the air knew what they were doing though...bastards.

I have to say, I'm guilty...I had no idea where the flag was, but I thought the whole point of horde mode was to overwhelm the team with the better players. So i was there gooning it up...I was sorry to have chased you off...

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I think we've reached the point where the horde can put 3-4 competent people in the air, which makes it a really really frustrating proposition since you have to have at least one player on the ground to carry the flag.

Remembered a couple of funny things:

- 3 dudes in a jeep, Lee in the turret, me in the passenger seat and somebody driving made an epic insurgency into the red base on Urban Strike. We roll up on two dudes and one trailing. I jump out right before the jeep runs over the first guy, I machine gun/grenade the second guy, and Lee turrets the third all in a period of about 2 seconds. We took at least 2-3 more before I died, and it was just an awesome little warhawk moment.

- Same map, I walk into the red base on foot up the back steps and flame thrower about 5 guys before somebody (nic or R2) says "Does somebody want to kill him???"

- Flipperbaby and his binocular rule still amuses me to no end.

- Steve and me having a douchemeister contest with the mines.

"You know what's great about Slider? He can just hide nearby during a fire fight and then pop out and get a cheap kill. Fuckin asshole." It's true. I will gladly let me team mates die for that one cheap kill.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Reminds me of a moment that pretty much summed up the douchey night:

On King of the Hill, I spawn in the wide open. Our flag is gone, but Slider is still raping us at our base with our tank because, you know, he's Slider. He sees me, and I just stand there resigned to the fact that I don't have anything even remotely resembling a chance. I say something like, "I just spawned and have nothing, but if you want a cheap kill, go ahead". He looks at me for 4-5 seconds, I assume trying to decide how douchey to be....and he shoots me point blank, motionless, and unarmed...with a tank.

To be fair, I might have punctuated the above sentence with an "asshole" or a "dickhead".

Can we all at least agree that Cruz needs to man-up and get the DLC this week?

This was partly my fault as well. I didn't account for the number of flyers on the horde team...or even just the sheer numbers. When the horde has 3 people in the air and 2 in tanks, the short-manned team is in trouble.

I also think King of the Hill is fully broken with Digi in the game, as he can pretty much score at will in a tank.

I'll keep working on balance, but as we get more people, it just gets exponentially harder to do. Glad to see all the people though!
