Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night
I'm always (alright...almost always) judicious with the TOW. I usually have one on board, but I tend to favor missiles or balls UNLESS it's one of the better players, or Slider in a missile turret (
), or it serves some strategic purpose like saving or protecting my flag.
If my team is outmanned, which has been the case lately, I have to use them a lot more than I like to. I also don't use them from wayyyyy off map, like you'll see online. If I TOW you, you're close enough to hit me.

Even though I feel like I'm always the recipient of Slider's kamikaze BALLS, I can't help but laugh every time it happens. As predictable as me missing entirely, there's Slider, ready and willing to blow himself up for the cause.

I don't think I TOW'd any more than usual...but if you got TOW'd, odds are you had my flag.
Lots of hate for Slider carrying over from CoD. This amuses me.
We probably should have sent Steve over in the last Horde mode as well, but there's a pretty big difference between 4 on 7 and 3 on 8. Still, when 2 of your 7 aren't the least bit dangerous (Sean and Marcus), it was really more like 4 on 5 and wasn't going to end anything but badly.
I can play any time this week Chew...even during the day. Let me know what's good for you.
I have my siren at level 28 now, and she's right on the verge of being a badass. I have an explosive artifact on my phasewalk and an electrical perk along with a perk called Phoenix that sets people on fire. Since I'm almost always carrying a caustic SMG, it's not uncommon for dudes to have ALL FOUR elements hitting them at once. They just look like an explosion of numbers!
That said, she has kind of weak defense and you have to get her in close to do serious damage...which isn't a good combo.

Here's a radical balancing suggestion: Instead of all 3 playing offense all the time, one has to only play (ground) defense. Rotate that person on each map. Obviously, the other two are split between the two teams.

Shouldn't be problem, but I need to see what the other has planned for me. I'm kind of tempted to roll in my siren just so you can see her in action, but I think she's closer to the level of my game with my son.
That would work, except that digi is better than both Z and me. It wouldn't be so hard to do if all 3 of us were always on. Me and Z against a combo of digi and, say, flip or eroc would work out just fine...but digi usually rolls in around 8-8:30.
I wish I had the ability to just manually set up the teams before every game.
Really, all we need is for folks to recognize when they are overmanned and play accordingly. If you're up by 2 or more flags, odds are somebody is frustrated.

Well, I dont want to make the game frustrating for others, so if that is the case then I can just sit out for a couple weeks and see if that changes the dynamic. I dont mind sitting back in a game for a few minutes here and there, but there were times last night where I was picking daisies for 80% of the time and that gets kind of old, which may be why I go balls out for the 20% that I do jump in on, so sorry about that.

In other news, Chew and I finished Borderlands. That's a pretty good game right there.
Chew and I really pushed through, playing several nights a week, but I'd be interested in a 4-man play-through on a dedicated night if digi and Flip can commit.

What if before anyone does anything on a map, we balance teams? I'm sure it would take about 30 seconds.

I would be interested in 4 player borderlands if we can come up with a time each week, but it would really have to be just once a week though I would think so we can be more sure that everyone can consistently play.
