Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

flip, do you know the stats of your Hunter's shield and gun? I've been reading the main thread today and I'm seeing people with 1200/90 shields and guns that do a lot more damage than what we're rockin'. (our shields are only 362 on Level 33)

If we're heading into the final stretch, we're going to be out-gunned....even with a triple rocket launcher.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I've never seen anything close to a 1200/90 shield. Compared to that my shield is tin foil. My shield is somewhere in the neighborhood of 500. I don't recall if I had that as I played through the last of the game though. I think so. I finished the game on Lvl 38, I think.

My weapon of choice is a Volcano Sniper with my elemental boosts (via my class mod) jacked all the way up. I think this is it (but a lesser version since I only recently upgraded to this particular model)... I do stick to the Maliwan Volcano model though.

This sucker doesn't even need to hit a bitch for them to catch on fire.

Will we be running the same rotation as last week? I liked those maps.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Should we get this thread renamed "Chess and Chew talk about their Borderlands game"?

I should be playing tonight, watch for the green line of death.

Next time I get the chance, I'll see if I can find you a better weapon in my Hunter's stash. If you just want to jump in a game with me (on my second playthrough), we can certainly find you some serious firepower for your level.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Maybe we should retire the binocs and TOWs for tonight because of the two newbies joining the game.

... or not.

We talked about that, but it would much more likely be closed for length at this point.

I'm happy to leave the binocs alone if the TOWs don't get deployed.

If I ever have the opportunity to TOW digi or chess or Z, they're getting hit. I think twice about anyone else, and generally use any other weapons I've got before deploying the big one... unless I'm angry about being Warhawk fodder.

So it's agreed, we can only TOW or Binoc Chess.

Okay, I will only binoc chess and slider. I will also try my best not to team-kill you Chew.

Yep...four technically, but I'm abandoning my single player hunter. I'm not fully convinced about "better drops with more players", as I'm getting pretty good stuff early with my siren. I got a 4x fire SMG not too long after killing 9-toes.

I'm always (alright...almost always) judicious with the TOW. I usually have one on board, but I tend to favor missiles or balls UNLESS it's one of the better players, or Slider in a missile turret ( ), or it serves some strategic purpose like saving or protecting my flag.

If my team is outmanned, which has been the case lately, I have to use them a lot more than I like to. I also don't use them from wayyyyy off map, like you'll see online. If I TOW you, you're close enough to hit me.

I have this exact gun in my game with Chew, but at a much lower level. I think it's a mid-20s level. It's my go-to sniper for anything that isn't armored.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Apologies for a crap hosting job tonight fellas.

For some reason the game automatically defaulted back to 8 players despite saying 20 in the sub-menu, and I was getting messages on PSN left and right saying people couldn't get in. Then I just got booted off the network...then I restarted it, but it rejected all-talk...and I had to restart a 4th time. Ugh.

At least now I know to check the 20-players thing.

All in all, a fun night. The teams are getting really hard to balance with digi, z and me...but it's cool to see Marcus find his way in for a map or two. He'll be a regular, I'm sure.

Fuck horde mode.

Kamikaze balling Flip two or three times was damn good fun.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Chess said they were fair game half way during the TDM so I just went for it. During the lobby I was messing around from a distance lighting up areas around Chess as a joke, but I never let them blow up, just shining the laser for fun. I also shined it on him while he was in a Warhawk just sitting the game out, again I had no intention to actually blow him up, okay, that time I did. I was more than willing to leave them alone at first.

Though, he did start crying when I climbed into my missile turret. During that first horde mode game where it was nic and Z and Chess vs. the rest, that was working out good. It was very balanced as nobody could get a flag and I thought that was fair. I climbed out of the missile turret when Chess got annoyed with it, but a few minutes later the team that was supposed to go up against the horde, somehow became the horde and had an extra player. So it was Chess, Z, and three other guys vs. the four of us, so that got me agitated and I climbed back into the turret, but by then it was too late and they had the game won.
