I'd like to suggest this be a "Playthrough 2" instead of starting a new character.

I'd much rather continue to level up my current character.....plus, there's better loot.

NOBODY expects the Chewish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

That settles it...no mines...no binocs...no TOWs...no Chew with a knife.

Maybe we should just have a spelling contest...or maybe a dance off.

That's actually what I had in mind...sorry it wasn't clear. I actually copied my save in our game and started on the second campaign just to see what it was like.

Short version...whatever weapon you think you're attached to, forget it.

Although the "ogre" is pretty sweet!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

And we can hit the DLC on Playthrough 2 without a Playthrough 1?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

I think the DLC is more of a standalone product...not built into the narrative...so I think you can play it anytime and it will simply adapt to your level.

Perhaps flip can confirm/correct?

I hit level 40 BTW.

The levels actually seem to be coming pretty quick on the second playthrough.

Don't get too far ahead now!

flip, we haven't heard from you on this. Are you interested in playing weekly? If so, do you have a night that works?

Correct. DLC stands alone... only references the main story.

I'd love to commit to one night per week, but I'm lucky enough to be able to set Tuesday aside. Really, no night is better than any of the rest, but if you guys plan a day, I'll do my best to bring my hunter Free Candy to the party.

In that case.....digi, do you have a night preference?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

digi will need to finish the game in single-player, or I'd be happy to run my Siren through with him. I think she's at level 27 or 28.

I also checked out Brick. His "hulk mode" lasted a good while (compared to the Siren), and I love the dynamic of using the L2 and R2 to punch people in the head. He was actually quite a bit of fun to use at lower levels and he has some sweet rocket launcher upgrades.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Hmmm, that was another question I had. You mean, if you or I were hosting, we can't invite digi's 1st Playthrough character into our 2nd Playthrough?

Based on what I've see so far, it wouldn't be pretty.

Ok, now we have to get this 4 player thing going! The next DLC (Knoxx) will include a four-seater tank "with something for each co-op player to do".

Awesome.

OK, but I'm not driving!

Driving a tank around sounds right up digi's alley, does it not?

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Warhawk: Marcus sent me a note on PSN and wanted to practice a bit. He's still REALLY rough, so be gentle with him...maybe even let him kill you once this week if you see him.

Borderlands: I played for a bit today on playthrough 2 and am on level 46. I've also been farming purple and orange weapons in New Haven. My favorite gun is still a level 25 Volcano sniper, and I'd like to find one at a higher level along. I also want the Hellfire SMG if anybody finds one.

Chew, I have some sweet class mods to give you sometime...and you may want to duplicate my 1500 shield.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Chew/Flip/Digi,

I got the Zombie DLC today...ready to roll when you guys are.

I played for a while with my son today so he could finish the game. I was using my level 46 hunter, so I was mostly just watching and getting 2-3 XP per kill. Anyway, it occurred to me that I might be able to farm better weapons in New Haven with both of us in the game, and in 2-3 runs, I found two pretty impressive guns:

Slight variations but very close. My two weapons that I've leveled up are the SMG and the Sniper, so they are even nastier. I also have two volcanos now, the new one with the long scope and my older one with a 1.0 scope.

It'd be fun to run our two hunters together flip...and Chew...Zombie Island, whenever you're ready. You should let me host, since I assume it would make the enemies tougher. I'll likely level-cap in no-time, so you'll catch up quick.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

It's been four days since you suggested a 4 man run-through. We haven't exactly gotten a solid response.

I think maybe we should just 2 man co-op the DLC and forget the whole-game 4 man 2nd Playthrough?

I picked up Zombie on Saturday.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

For the record, I'd love to get in on a 4-man session. I'd love to just get a chance to play some with you guys but, like my BALLS, I just keep missing out.

That Fearsome Volcano has me

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Yeah, I would love to play as well, but I dont think I will be finishing the game and catching up with you guys any time soon. I have tried to play a few times the last couple of nights but I am stuck on Mad Mel as every time I go into the arena the game is just freezing up on me. And since it takes like 5 mins to boot the system and the game up I have lost motivation at that point...so, dont think you guys will want to wait for me. Sounds like fun though.

Every time I've gotten past Mad Mel, it's by going into the arena, getting runned over, and then spawning outside and sniping that bastard from outside the arena.

Chew, my suggestion is that you host the start of your second play through and we spend some time leveling you up to flip and me...then we can tackle zombies at the same level. The levels come pretty quick on the second playthrough believe it or not. I'm about to hit 50, and I'm not even close to the endgame. I'd probably just hang back and let you go nuts with the Ogre...just helping out when you get in trouble. Maybe tonight even?

Ultimately, it would be cool to have 3 level 50 characters going into the newest DLC IMO.

Flip...happy to duplicate the Fearsome Volcano if you ever want to play, though I think the Hellfire might be even nastier the way I have my guy perked. I scope a dude up with the Hellfire, and he is just a fountain of numbers!

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Knowing you were well ahead of me on a second playthrough, I've been playing here and there as well. I'm only Level 39 (leveling up doesn't seem to come as fast for me as you're making it out though).

I had a seriously tough time with Bone Head (again!), but eventually got through it.

The Ogre really isn't as powerful as it's needs to be. I'm actually challenged.

I'm certainly up for some playtime tonight (although, the Safe House is next ).

I don't remember having too much trouble with Mad Mel. I actually don't remember that area match at all other than I had some sort of bastard rocket launcher that did the job.

I generally snipe everything from a distance and then charge in with one of my elemental shotguns so I'm always keen on upgrading my Volcano Sniper. And I believe that little Fearsome Volcano is the next upgrade in my preferred lineage of weaponry.

BTW, got into Burnout this past week. Can't believe I haven't done that sooner.
