Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Will do.

I'm taking the day off today, and I just set up the maps:

1. Omega Factory - Rumble Dome - Death Match (basically a lobby)
2. Badlands - Supply Chain - Capture the Flag (slightly bigger version of Skirmish)
3. Destroyed Capital - King of the Hill - Team Death Match (tired of flag on this one)
4. Island Outpost - Standoff - Capture the Flag (never get tired of flag on this one)
5. Archipelago - Acropolis Assault - Zones (love this map...different mode)
6. Eucadia - Battle for Eucadia - Capture the Flag (HUGE map...should force folks to fly a bit)
7. Eucadia - Urban Strike - Hero (giving Hero another chance on a more varied map)
8. Vaporfield Glacier - Grinder - Team Death Match (don't think I've played this map)
9. Tau Crater - Mission Critical - Collection (grand finale map)
10. Tau Crater - Crater Clash - Death Match (in case our numbers are too thin for teams)

I plan to defend on that map...and chase if necessary. Whoever else is on my team...go get that flag!!!

I hope you guys are still going strong when I finally get on tonight. Must attend yet another parenting/birthing class. The kid's already a time suck and she's not even here yet! I was pretty much mentally prepared for the arrival, but all this learnin' is a serious drag on the Warhawk time.

Need to go with CTF on #8. That is a fun CTF map I think...although I am also biased against DM in general

I thank you, sir. I fear the arrival date may be sooner than expected since my wife and I are big Penguins' fans. Another overtime hockey game and she might be fit to go. As it is, she's only got three weeks left until the due date.

We were at the game last night... and with two minutes to go, I thought we were going to have to call the EMTs.

Speaking of babies, when's eroc going to return?

Do it. They really are well worth it. I think you'll regret waiting for another sale.

For those of us who don't have the map names memorized, which of the above are expansion?

I actually had Ofermod in mind when I set up the rotation. He's rarely there for the first game anyway, and we rarely get to our tenth map, so the whole heart of the night is available to him.

I should be able to get eroc (Eric) in tonight. I emailed him late last week to make sure he has the expansion maps, and he does. He seemed like he was looking forward to playing.

Congrats to you as well! Kids are a PITA, but if you're lucky, you'll have a boy who you can get games for every Christmas.

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Have to run down to the Financial District for some stuff, so there's a chance I might not be able to get on tonight. But hopefully I'll be back in time to play a bit. If not, hopefully some of the people who've been blocked out by a full 8 player list can join up!

Original maps:

Island Outpost: Island with bridges, trees, hills and deep ravines
Eucadia: Looks like Europe with old cities. Has the giant statue.
Badlands: Desert
Destroyed Capital: Tops of skyscrapers
Archipelago: Elevated islands (this one is growing on me)

Expansion maps:

Omega Factory: Industrial
Vaporfield Glacier: Arctic
Tau Crater: Redwood forest with crashed space ship in the middle

They tell me it's going to be a girl. I'm just hoping she never wants to play softball, because, I don't know if there's anything more grueling than watching girls' softball. I'd trade all the benefits of having a boy if she just promises me to play soccer, lacrosse, hockey... anything but softball.

Eh...you've just never watched YOUR little girl play girls' softball. You got a name picked out?

That's just because you're so good at CTF! If only I could carry a flag in a Warhawk...

I know I can set it up that way, but I've never actually tried it...seems like it would be too easy.

I think the mix is 3 CTF, 2 TDM, 2 DM, 1 Collection (flaglike), 1 Zones, 1 Hero.

That feels about right to me.

Thanks for thinking of me guys Now I should be on tonight, but it may not be till 10pm C at the earliest. Going to catch Watchmen tonight at the $1 theater ($1 all day Tues) ... at least, thats the plan!

Havent bought the packs yet, but damn if you guys are tempting the hell out of me! These 2 sound VERY cool:
Vaporfield Glacier: Arctic
Tau Crater: Redwood forest with crashed space ship in the middle

Re: Weekly Tuesday Warhawk night

Thinking about it, am I the only one who needs the packs? Ive heard, maybe just rumors, that people can go half and half buying packs/games and share the game basically between/up to 5 users? Is that possible?

Cheap ass! Man, I thought I was bad!

You can share a PSN ID, but I don't think you can both be on at the same time.

...and yes, those two maps are great. Heck, I'd be happy if you just bought Tau Crater, as it's my favorite map in the game and adds jetpack functionality to all the other maps.
