The Japanese BD release reportedly looks amazing. A lot of people in fact perfer its fidelity to the source than Disney's own remasters.

SD almost never captures the exactness of contrast of B&W photography. In fact, I'd say the lack of color is when the distinctions between SD and HD are at the most obvious.

All the subtitles for Bandai Ent. DVDs are done by ZRO Limit Productions. There is absolutely no chance of the Panorama DVDs containing the same subs.
