Re: Your Blu-ray wish list / "When will _______ be on Blu-ray?"
It looks like I did not yet bring this up, but Young Sherlock Holmes Blu Ray Steelbook is now out on Blu Ray (the scuttlebutt is that the PQ is at most the equivalent of an upscaled DVD, but still technically better than the DVD PQ), a film that I thought might not show up in a HD format. Also, another film that did not seem destined to get a HD release, Dragonslayer, is finally coming out in a 4K Steelbook in March, another title that I thought might never get a HD release.
In the past few years I have seen film faves that I grew up watching like Alligator, Dragonslayer, Young Sherlock Holmes, and Real Genius hit the blu/UHD format, and I started to buy physical media again the past couple years. I also have a tendency to open these films and watch them because I waited so long for them to be released in HD.

Not sure which thread to ask this but does anyone know if there has ever been a Psych TV Complete Series Set in any region/region free? Best I can find is DVD which is probably worse than streaming quality.

Kind of surprised A Simple Plan hasn't gotten a Blu-ray release (at least stateside). Seems prime for one by Kino Lorber given they've been releasing many Paramount movies.

Glad that several from my previous update have since been released, but still quite a few to go. Here's my 2023 update:
TV
Angels In America (HBO)
The Avengers seasons 4 - 6 (out, but not Region A) We need something like those Australian Imprint releases on Region A. The Lionsgate S5 doesn't count with it's excessive compression, audio speed-up, and no extras.
The Doctor Blake Mysteries
The Monkees (affordable priced down reissue) That $200 Rhino box is ludicrously priced. If three seasons of Batman can currently sell for $50, then 2 seasons of The Monkees should cost even less.
The Munsters
MOVIES
The Chapman Report
Descent (Rosario Dawson) (out, but not Region A)
The Games (1970)
Let It Be
Myra Breckinridge
Priest (1994)
Son Of Dracula (Ringo, please...)
Stay (Naomi Watts)
Street Knight (1993)

As of this writing, these are the big 4 on my wish list. ...And I'm seriously starting to wonder if I'll live long enough to see them.

I wish this was available.
Not on any of the premium cable channels or streamers and just want to see it once.

Re: Your Blu-ray wish list / "When will _______ be on Blu-ray?"
This is my first time visiting this thread, has this movie ever been mentioned?:

Wayne Rogers (M*A*S*H) leads a middle-aged Dixieland jazz band and they get a 2-week engagement at a Catskills resort, run by Joe Silver (Shivers, Rabid). They have to recruit a session bass player (Cleavon Little of Blazing Saddles), and the gig goes well till a famous comedian (Jay Thomas of Cheers) is booked for a surprise engagement.
Great story of middle-aged duffers finally getting a chance to play music for a live audience, as well as coming to terms with the limits of their talent. And all filmed in the area I grew up in.
It used to air on the Bravo network a lot, when they showed movies and not crap.

I wish they released the original Star Blazers shows from the 80's.
I bought the Quest for Iscander and the picture quality is horrible.

I was looking for something to watch last night and decided on Sports Night which I haven't watched in a number of years, only to realize it was DVD which was a bummer. So I was curious about a BD release (4k is probably a pipe dream), but was bummed to see it never got a BD release which is a shame.

Do we know if it was originally on tape or film? If it’s on tape, the best to hope for is a 720p upscale. I still have the DVD set too, need to give that show a rewatch.
