Are you thinking of editing? The format the non MiniDV camera's record in for HD is not widely supported yet, meaning MiniDV is the way to go for editing on PC.

Maybe it's differant in the US? I have a PAL console.

Then resumed it about a week later for burnout 3 goodness! :D

I dunno, I recently made the move to LCD and helped someone else buy one as well and the picture quality blows away any CRT I have ever owned. I went LCD as Plasma is out of my budget and I got one...

Sadly I watch a lot of stuff on zoom as I only have a 22" widescreen (much better than my old 14" standard though) and watching things letterboxed on it is a tad on the small size.
