Lucas "revisionism" bashing aside, what are you most looking forward to with the up-coming Star Wars boxset?
You may choose multiple items.

I'm hoping the restoration will bring the old film stock up to the level of the clarity of the SE footage. The '97 SE's still looked old and faded despite the supposed restoration on on them then. But that was even before DVD came out, and way before HD stuff was even thought of. Lowry's 4K HD restoration process* did wonders for the Indy films, so I can't wait to see what they did for Star Wars.
The scenes that were most faded were the Skywalker moisture farm and perhaps the Tatooine desert scenes.
* 4K HD restoration process is when they take the original film negatives, scan them into the computer at 4000 lines of resolution and remaster that and then compress them back down to DVD's 480p.

Pretty much everything but the packaging and new footage. Mostly for the lowry restoration. It was great seeing Indy all cleaned up and noticing new details in the picture that I hadn't seen before, I expect the same with SW.

d'oh! We could have voted for more than one? I thought that was kind of odd having Anamorphic/New Digital transfer & sound all seperate. All three of those get my vote but only Anamorphic was reflected in my poll vote.

I only really care about having the films on DVD in WS. IMO the movies are pretty average. I did record them off TV, but then needed the tape, so I recorded over them I don't plan on watching the extras much. I might listen to the commentary, but probably not until I have nothing better to do.

I am just happy to get a legal & official set of the movies instead of the bootlegged, illegal copies they sell on eBay.
I don't care if its the special editions of the movies. They have no Jar-Jar in them, so I will watch them!

Maybe setting myself up for some flames here, but I am looking forward most to the new footage, etc. I already own Star Wars on DVD on some amazing looking DVDs, which I bought shortly after Lucas made it clear the original trilogy as we had previously seen it would never be on DVD. And, as much as I want the original trilogy on DVD in restored glory without any changes (which I know will come someday, maybe after Lucas dies, but some day....) I've seen them multiple times over and I am ready to see all the stuff that Lucas wants to add to these movies. And if I spend money on the set, I know what I am spending money on, and it would be pointless to complain that I am not getting the OT unchanged because that's not what they are selling the set as.
Lucas had some really incredible ideas for all three movies from the get-go that never made it into the final cuts because technology was so far behind. If he restores a fraction of those ideas to the movies, I will be happy. That is I will be happy with the set that's being advertised and not leading me with any false notions that what I will be buying will be what I have seen previously in my life. And that's the best you can do, be happy with what is being offered or don't get it at all.

I'm looking forward to everything! It would still be nice to get the original versions, but oh well....this is better than nothing at all (at least to some of us. )
