I've only ever owned a PS1000, so I can't comment on the CT120, but I love the Paradigm...I don't think you can beat it for the money.

As Ichiban says get either Avia or VE, and yes they both will set up your surround system. As it says on the Avia disc, it would be helpful to have a SPL meter (From Radio Shack---its the cheapest)...

Although I have never had this problem with my player (A 7000), I have heard of it with 330's and 530's. Take it back to where you bought it or to an authorized repair depot for a frmware upgrade.

If you already have Paradigms', stay with them. If you are using them in your HT, staying with the same maker will give you a good match. Its not like they are crappy speakers, IMHO.
