Later this month, Gunpowder & Sky is releasing (via Vinegar Syndrome) Prospect on UHD BD, starring Pedro Pascal, Sophie Thatcher, and Jay Duplass. There's a limited edition exclusively on vinegarsyndrome.com, and they're listing a standard version as well. Unclear if that standard edition will show up elsewhere later.

I pre-ordered the non-limited edition of Prospect 4K disc. Couldn't justify the $10 extra for trading cards and a slip, so this will do.

Criterion is scared to death its customer base would then skip all their regular Blu-ray releases, waiting on a possible UHD. They don't want UHD cannibalizing their existing, profitable business.
I can see why Criterion, who lives at the mercy of licensing most content, being squeamish about UHD.

Yeah, at this point it's kinda laughable. These smaller boutique labels doing all kinds of schlock* on 4K releases and Criterion with decades of experience still sleeping on the format is just not good.

Criterion is somewhat overrated anyways if you ask me. They’re not the be all end all boutique label anymore. At one time maybe, but there are many more that release a range of interesting/important titles and do them with as much care and special features.

Of course there are other boutiques that do just as a good a job as Criterion, but until Arrow or Kino or Vinegar Syndrome or whomever start releasing the Janus catalog or any of the other dozens/hundreds of titles Criterion licences on 4k, that's kind of irrelevant.
