Re: UHD release announcements
Might grab the Indiana Jones collection eventually. Have it on DVD and Blu-ray already though so I’m not super antsy for it day one.

Re: UHD release announcements
Best Buy has a poll on their site to vote for which UHD releases should get a steelbook, including Tommy Boy, Galaxy Quest, and The Guns of Navarone. Presumably that means that these are on the way.

And while they're at it, how about getting Beverly Hills Ninja in Blu-ray or 4K too.

Coming May 4. Looks like Disney isn't hiding all the Fox titles away after all. Apparently this will include far more bonus features (from the original '5-Star' DVD set) than the previous Fox blu-ray, but no word yet on whether it will contain all of them (which would be nice, since it does say "Ultimate" on the package).

Yeah, that sucks that Speed isn't getting an Atmos soundtrack. Oh well. I'm still getting it on 4K disc.

Re: UHD release announcements
I liked it okay, but I lover Edgar Wright for his level of fanboy and nerdness. That and the fact he spent time on the remaster means I'll gladly pick it up.

I love it. Probably won't go to the nearest Dolby Cinema to see it, but will gladly buy the 4K disc.

Re: UHD release announcements
While we’re talking Warner Bros, I’ve now learned from multiple industry sources the rough release schedule for many of the studio’s 2021 4K catalog titles. The Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory: 50th Anniversary Edition is tentatively set for release in 4K on 6/29. The Space Jam: 25th Anniversary Edition is set to follow on 4K in July. And The Shawshank Redemption and Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange: 50th Anniversary Edition are both tentatively due to arrive on 4K in September. Finally, expected to arrive on the format in late 2021 are Gravity, Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Don’t forget that The Middle Earth Collection is still set for release in 4K this summer as well. We will, of course, post updates on all of these titles as we have them.

Hell yeah for the other Mad Max movies! I just recently watched all 4 and the 4K versions of the first and fourth ones are fantastic. Can wait to see The Road Warrior in 4K!

Re: UHD release announcements

“In 1970, young first-time director Dario Argento (Deep Red, Suspiria) made his indelible mark on Italian cinema with The Bird with the Crystal Plumage – a film which redefined the ‘giallo’ genre of murder-mystery thrillers and catapulted him to international stardom.
Sam Dalmas (Tony Musante, We Own the Night), an American writer living in Rome, inadvertently witnesses a brutal attack on a woman (Eva Renzi, Funeral in Berlin) in a modern art gallery. Powerless to help, he grows increasingly obsessed with the incident. Convinced that something he saw that night holds the key to identifying the maniac terrorizing Rome, he launches his own investigation parallel to that of the police, heedless of the danger to both himself and his girlfriend Giulia (Suzy Kendall, Spasmo)…
A staggeringly assured debut, The Bird with the Crystal Plumage establishes the key traits that would define Argento’s filmography, including lavish visuals and a flare for wildly inventive, brutal scenes of violence. With sumptuous cinematography by Vittorio Storaro (Apocalypse Now) and a seductive score by legendary composer Ennio Morricone (Once Upon a Time in the West), this landmark film has never looked or sounded better in this brand new 4K Ultra HD presentation from Arrow Video!
