I really like Interstellar and would be interested in the new extra features, but not if I also have to get all that physical garbage with it. Just give me the 3 discs in a standard size UHD case.

It looks like it has a re-authored bonus disc. There is one new feature:
  • NEW The Future Is Now: A Look Back at INTERSTELLAR – Explore the impact of INTERSTELLAR 10 years later through new interviews with director/co-writer Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas, executive producer Kip Thorne, and co-writer Jonathan Nolan. From the development of prophetic black hole visuals to revolutionary production design for IMAX, further context is provided by colleagues and fans including director Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings) and director Denis Villeneuve (Dune).
There are also two legacy features which were previously only available on the Best Buy-exclusive Blu-ray release from 2015:
  • Roundtables:
    • Creating Interstellar
    • Experiencing Interstellar

There's pics online from people who have the Trick R' Treat 4k arrow disc already that have said the rest of Warner/New Line Jason movies (Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, and Freddy vs. Jason) are coming to 4k next year.

Those three are easily my least favorites in the series, but the completionist in me will be tempted to upgrade.

Same here but I will definitely upgrade. And once I do that, a big boxset will come about once again.

I wish they would look at cleaning up Part 3. I watched it the other night and the transfer is terrible. Part 2 looks pretty good but 3 has dirt and specks all over it and looks washed and worn out.

KL Studio Classics isn't able to move forward with Lost in Translation:

This is a couple of weeks after Kino Lorber reported:

We finally got some movement. We got in touch with some of Sofia Coppola's people. We are setting up a short meeting. Right after that, we are going to create the master and she and her cinematographer will oversee the whole thing and make sure the colors and everything is up to their...

Re: UHD release announcements

Hammer is self-releasing Captain Kronos!

Description
Legendary creator Brian Clemens writes and directs this stylish, revisionist Hammer Horror – pitting a swashbuckling hero, his hunchbacked assistant and a feisty gypsy ingenue against a cunning and malevolent vampire. Starring Horst Janson as Kronos and Hammer Glamour icon Caroline Munro as Carla, cult classic Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter makes its worldwide debut as a brand-new 4K restoration from the original negative film elements.

A rash of mysterious deaths due to accelerated ageing compels Dr Marcus to summon his brother-in-arms, Captain Kronos – once a soldier but now a professional vampire hunter. As the deaths continue, however, Kronos realises that this is no ordinary vampire he’s hunting.

Special Features
This limited collector's edition comprises:
  • Five discs in a stylish digipak: two UHDs and three Blu-rays, with the content duplicated across both formats
  • Three iterations of Captain Kronos: the widescreen 1.66:1 UK Theatrical Version, the fullscreen 1.37:1 As-Filmed Version and the widescreen 1.85:1 US Theatrical Version

Re: UHD release announcements

I love the Hammer vampire stuff, I might be interested in something like this. I especially love multi-aspect ratio sets (that aren't just pan and scan, of course).
