A new Rashomon transfer? Okay I'll use that as an excuse to say it again, bring out more of Kurosawa's stuff immediately. Especially Ikiru.

Whoah. That looks like it was painted on a wall or something, really nice. That middle white streak is pretty interesting too.

If it is for Gray I imagine it will at least include the two Soderbergh films (And Everything Is Going Fine plus Gray's Anatomy.)

Yes, it's definitely a Spalding Gray reference and nothing to do with Hoop Dreams. I, too, will guess SWIMMING TO CAMBODIA

Hoop Dreams was shot on SD Betacam, so I don't think it's going to be a priority for BD release.

I got Anatomy Of A Murder & World On A Wire in the mail today.
Really happy about it, but the AOM book had a little damage. I'm not sure if I should email Criterion or Amazon (probably Amazon).
Btw, In the past week, I watched Tiny Furniture (which I really enjoyed), Three Outlaw Samurai (Fun), Billy Liar (which I'd recently acquired) and The Moment Of Truth (which was gorgeous and mesmerizing - Very Highly Recommended).

I have the Third Man CC BD, and from time to time I'll check the prices on Amazon just to see what it's doing. I don't know if I could ever get myself to sell it since I know I'd never get it back if I did. But wow at the prices now. I didn't even know that it went up that much, especially for the used ones. That is just crazy. I'm so glad I bought mine when it first hit the market.

Yeah I've learned my lesson with The Third Man. As long as the blu-rays don't start going OOP at a high rate, I've decided I was getting them as soon as there was an announcement.

When I bought my copy I bought one for my Dad as well. He didn't end up getting a blu-ray player at the time so I sold his copy for a small profit. Wish I hung on to it.

Wow, I had no idea the CC of The Third Man was selling for so much. Still, I don't think I could part with my copy - it's an excellent film, and the bonus features make it quite collectible.

Goddamn...I'd want to sell it for that price for sure. Buuuuuuuuuut....I'm not parting w/ TTM. It holds great personal value to me. That...and it's a CC BD.

Glad I bought my Third Man blu when I did. I picked it up maybe 6 months ago on eBay for about $60 used. Now, if the DVD gets up that high, I'll part with that and keep my blu-ray.

I paid $13 for The Third Man CC BD during a B&N sale. :-P
Still waiting for Rushmore, Godzilla, and 12 Angry Men to ship from the Criterion sale. Someone remind me to buy The Killing next time a sale comes around because I seem to keep forgetting to buy it.
I really want them to release the other Anderson films on BD... especially Steve Zissou... but they probably already know that.

Yeah I have one still. I actually bought another new one (for $13 at BN) and sold it for $45 a couple years ago...maybe I should have held onto it. Used copies of Ran are also pretty expensive. I have one, never viewed, but again, I probably won't part with it.
And yeah RobLutter, definitely get The Killing! Great movie, and it comes with Killer's Kiss! They really should have touted the double feature aspect more.
