Just a thought, but what are the chances of films not yet released by Criterion and available their on their Hulu channel ending up released on BR (or DVD)?
Some notable examples include Hitchcock's Foreign Correspondent and Breaker Morant, both original studio releases OOP (DVD for former and Blu-Ray for latter) and not yet released by Criterion, inter alia.

Schlossberg also manages films the films owned by the Cassavetes estate (also currently licensed to Criterion) and the Kazan estate (not currently licensed to Criterion) among many others. It looks as though Schlossberg has now also licensed Breaker Morant to Criterion (though it's not part of the Caidin package)

I'm really waiting on getting all, I believe, 18 Zatoichi films that CC has on BD at some point. I'd buy the whole damn lot of them.

Someone at Blu-ray.com forums is guessing (quite correctly it seems given the screenshot he posted) it is Danny Boyle's "Shallow Grave".

Shallow Grave was one of Criterion's hints in January, so the capture shouldn't be a big surprise.

I sold my sealed DVD of Night to Remember in anticipation of the blu-ray, but the half.com buyer is saying that the disc is blank, and is returning it. Now I will be stuck with an opened copy that is worth much less if the disc ends up being okay. I'll still pick up the blu-ray though, since I had rented the DVD and loved it.

I'ved owned an unplayable a Night to Remember before. It work when I first got it and a few years afterwards; it was unplayable. Probably disc rot and I wound up returning to CC for a playable disc so I think the buyer claim is legit unless like Shannon Nutt said: he totally swapped it for a DVD-r and relabeled it.

Thanks for the info. I had already replied to the buyer with Jon Mulvaney's email address and told him to request a replacement directly from Criterion, but instead the buyer submitted a return with half.com instead. I should be getting the disc back this week.

*Noticed 14 was on their Hulu channel. Hopefully this means they got the DVD/BR rights as well.

One could only hope. I really wish they could get their hands on 14, Zatoichi's Pilgrimage. From what I read Miramax owned the rights for a while and then they reverted back to Katsu's estate.

I have the David Lean set on pre-order with Amazon. $70 is pretty steep considering it will be available for $50 (or less) in July, but I figured if I get it now its monetary impact will be long gone and I'll be able to get more stuff in July.
