Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Also, as much as I love Resogun, I don't even play the core game anymore. I mainly play the DLC modes so those are a must, IMO. Does that $20 get you the DLC too, Dan?

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Doesn't look like it.
Defenders and Heroes add-ons are $7 and $5 respectively. There's also a bunch of people and ships for $1.50-$2 each, but I imagine those are totally unnecessary.

Edit: and yeah, those are all CAD prices, not USD. The base game is only $15 USD, but still doesn't come with the add-ons.

What they really need to do is release a Resogun Complete Edition... And then add it to PS+, just for me.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Looks like I bought the Season pass which included everything for $8 (and still that price on the US store). Search for Season pass on the CA store, maybe there's a cheaper bundle.

The ships and people are totally unnecessary BUT one of the skins for the people is Lemmings. I set mine to Lemmings 8 or so years ago and haven't looked back. Too funny watching them wander aimlessly on the bottom of the map.

Or just wait for Black Friday Deals which should be alot with some good savings...and I think they do it early prior to actual Black Friday.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I decided to put this bit of News here even though it appears the game will be for both PS4 and PS5...but according to Leaks which appear solid, XBox is losing this exclusive and it's coming to Sony....never heard of it but apparently this game has a huge following, sitting at around 83/100 on Metacritic and reviews have been mostly positve...to me a bit of too much Cartoonish but at the same time looks fun as heck....lets hope it does come....

Is Walmart the sole retailer with next gen consoles regularly in stock? Seems like they have them on sale weekly, where as Best Buy, Amazon, and even Sony and Microsoft are more sporadic.

I am wondering if BB and others are reserving stock for closer to the holiday. I gotta imagine they all get similar allocations.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

At this point I don't really care or worry about some of the New games coming on their delay's...I've gone back and fired up older games i never completed, barely started or just put to the side ....Destiny 2, Star Wars Fallen Jedi, Elder Scrolls and last night even Horizon Zero Dawn which barely got started and fired up after two years...all because the PS5 and my new game monitor; ASUS 32"....have made the games just really amazing to see. I've seen some details and things I never saw on PS4. The Destiny and Warframe PS4 vs PS5 versions are super noticeable visual wise but last night I played Elder Scrolls Online and from the 1080P Enhanced to PS5 version was night & day. And I couldn't believe Horizon Zero Dawn how great it looked; I didn't see a PS5 upgrade for it but for a game it's age I was floored...and I haven't even gone back to see what Ghost of Tsushima and AC: Valhalla looks like since having the PS5....

To be fair, you can't play it on the last console either.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

The scavenger hunt for PS5's, especially a year after release, is total horseshit. And these little 10 minute windows to buy like 10 consoles on Walmart, I mean C'Mon.

Yeah I know there's a supply and parts shortage, but I mean this is pretty ridiculous. And meanwhile, the vultures who buy them are turning around and selling them on Ebay for $800 to 1,000 plus dollars.

Everytime I bring this up I get slapped with an and a reminder that it’s covid and shortage only. There couldn’t possibly be any other reason.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

ooh. More breaking news... lol

Anyone who thinks a good part of the problem are not scumbag scalpers/resellers buying as much as they can is just delusional or ignorant.

As long as the demand outweighs the supply and people are willing to spend more than retail, they will keep doing it.

Still waiting for my chance at getting it through Sony with that offer they put through PSN members - I figure since it's tied to an account, they can see how active that account is and keep scalpers from getting in on this offer.

Maybe I missed your previous posts but what is the other reason besides supply and demand (supply being constrained by covid and other things?)

That's not a reason for the shortage; that is the result of it.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

If people that wanted to actually own the PS5 were able to purchase them when they are made available, then it would not be as bad as it is now with the scumbags buying them just to resell them.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Besides that being literally impossible, there are still far fewer units available than people wanting to buy them. You'd still be waiting in these online lines and cursing the stars when you don't get one of them. If the supply was flowing and everyone who wanted one could buy it, those sale posts wouldn't exist.

Chip shortage & scalper bots are the two main reasons, but I’m also not convinced this isn’t a purposeful bottleneck. Nintendo has been doing it for years. It’s not impossible to think that Sony and or Microsoft aren’t doing the same thing.
What I don’t quite understand is why aren’t they shipping directly to stores which would then eliminate the online bots.

No argument there, that is what I posted prior.
