Five years ago, my son, frustrated by an inability to log on and play Overwatch due to age restrictions, decided to play on my account instead. He has totally fucked up every year-end wrap up since!

It's kinda cool to see the breakdown but also a little disconcerting, e.g. two full work weeks on Cyberpunk (but I did play it through twice and loved it).

Light year for me. I only played 152 total hours across 12 games.

That worked out to a 50%-50% split between PS4 & PS5 games. 99% of that was played locally. I spent but a single hour in online MP which sounds funny, but also wrong. The only game I played online was Fall Guys and I KNOW I spent more than a few hours playing that game because I'd play with my daughters and we'd just keep passing the controller.

At any rate, my top 5 is comical. My most played game was a PS4 launch game:

I just tried the Best Buy link for a digital console that Wario tweeted. It showed 2 locations that had 1 in stock for pickup. But both were 20+ miles away from me. I'm not driving that far for a $500 device and then you have to factor in gas, which is $4.30/gallon here. It has to be convenient for me, so I exited out. $500 is a lot of money for me, so I'm not driving super far or jumping through crazy antics to get this.

Tell me about it! When I saw my total time it was much higher than I thought, and had me questioning my life choices over 2021. I do think the number is higher than the actual time spent playing because sometimes I'll have a game "paused" for long periods of time (especially for games where you can't save anywhere). For me, it said:

1. Assassin's Creed Origins (105 hours) Sounds about right though, since the game was massive, and I played all DLC and messed around with the "museum" mode

You can see I'm usually playing games at least a couple of years old. One of the reasons I haven't been looking for a PS5 yet.

Yeah, I'm sure plenty of us have "pause" time in our games. I'm sitting here looking at a pause screen while I'm typing this. My Resogun time is probably legit though as it's not really a game you pause to do other things, grab a bite or the like. Usually play a game, start to finish and move on to the next game.
