Yeah I absolutely would get a correctly sized heat sink and put the cover back on. It’s dead easy to do.

One of the review sites (think Tom’s Hardware) tested without the cover. Generally it was cooler by a couple of degrees.

It was when I posted! I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did. Still went in minutes after wario64 tweeted about it, but, like, 15 minutes instead of 1 or 2.

Reminder for buying via Amazon: put it in your wishlist now and then when you see an alert, go to your wishlist and buy it through there. It worked for me very well.

I feel sorry for anyone who because of PS+ now plays Godfall. I can't remember the last time I played such a bland and soulless game.

After two straight months of not even adding a single game to my PS+ library, Godfall will be beckoning.

Feel the same in a sort of way but I've been playing the "Enhanced Versions"...Warframe, Back4Blood, destiny...yet to try AC Valhalla, Ghost of Tsushima but I finished those....and so far I've been impressed with what I've seen. But I don't play on a Full 4K Screen...a ASUS 32"with 2160x1080 and everything is fine. I do have a copy of Doom Eternal which awhile back got a visual upgrade with Ray Tracing, a Resolution and Performance Mode....and been playing the normal Horizon Zero Dawn and for a game that old with no Enhancement for PS4, its stunning...

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

just put in my Crucial 1TB NMVe w/heatsink...pretty much a breeze, system saw it on bootup, format and showing a full 1TB at around 5819mb read.....in a way didn't need it right now since a lot of the PS5 games have been pushed back but I feel a bit relieved I have backup without having to shuffle and move games back & forth from internal to USB....can't get any easier on adding storage than what they did to PS5....

Oh it gets even worse (or better, if the endgame is better than the rest of it). It's not even the full game.:

https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2021...story-campaign
Godfall is one of December's PlayStation Plus games, except it technically isn't. The Godfall that you get to download with your PS Plus subscription on the 7th December is a new version called Godfall: Challenger Edition, which is designed to get you straight into the title's endgame content.

"Godfall: Challenger Edition allows new players to experience the game’s trio of endgame modes, minus the story content of the base game and Fire & Darkness expansions, and grants existing players new exciting features and rewards to enjoy," writes developer Counterplay Games on the PlayStation Blog.

So, if you're totally new to Godfall, you're going to be skipping the main story content of the base game — along with all of the character-building grind. It's a bit of a weird deal, but we suppose it makes some sense when you just want to throw players into the "good" stuff. You'll be able to upgrade from the Challenger Edition to the Deluxe Edition of Godfall, but no pricing has been detailed yet.

For PS5, most annoying part was getting the cover off (I didn’t want to break it), but then I didn’t notice the little spacer thing until I heard it rattling so had to redo. So it was easy but slightly annoying, and it's a console not a PC so not everyone who has one is used to opening things up. XBox I didn’t have to open it so way better, but this was still an improvement over what I had to do to have more storage on my PS2 and PS3.

Yep, hard pass on that version of Godfall - even if it's a free download for me.

Games with Gold has a Get option for each month’s games, but PS+ only offers downloading. Do you have to download or lose it?

If you have the PlayStation app on your phone, you can add them without downloading.

Under PS Store -> Subscriptions, there's a row of "PS Plus monthly games", and you can just scroll one by one and click "Add to Library".

You can also do that just from the website on a PC.

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

Actually on the PS5 there's a PS Plus tab where if you click it it lists the free games and you can click Add To Library without downloading.
The Xbox One and XSX are the ones where you have to start downloading the game from the console. I find that very irritating, twice every month

I was really disappointed to see famed Diablo style Grim Dawn was only going to Xbox (have played it on PC)...but it appears at least we might get these after all...

Re: PlayStation 5 - 11/12/20

I suppose it all depends on pricing. If the first tier is the same setup and price as PS+ is now, then it's a wash for me. Supposing I ever tire of the backlog, I might consider upping to the tier where I could choose from a large list of games. So far, PS+ has provided me with enough gaming that I've bought very few games over the past 10-ish years.
