Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Argh! I tapped my tile. It wasn't even an accident, either. I was just wandering around Springfield tapping handshakes, got to that one and tapped it. Instantly I realized what I had done, but it was too late.
Oh well -- it'll be back in 2 days, 11 hours, and 58 minutes.

500-600 points when you tap on somebody else's tile and you can do that 3 times PLUS you get 500-600 points when somebody taps on your tile, those are pretty big XP points!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I've been fortunate enough to have a number of people tap my tile so I currently have multiple handshakes on it. I feel safe tapping on a couple but leaving a couple there to avoid tapping on the actual tile by accident.

I tap whatever excess tiles I have as soon as possible because I'm always worried EA will figure this glitch out and remove it in the next update!
So the escalator, magnifying glass, skyscraper, and sunsphere all popped up yesterday and yeah, tons of XP - at least 50,000 and definitely more for each (except maybe the sunsphere).
Speaking of which, I sent Milhouse, Bart, Nelson, and Martin into the Sunsphere for 12 hours or so and when they were done, well, nothing happened. Is that the extent of the quest? Visit it once and that's it?
Edit: Nevermind, it looks like it's all covered in this post from Topix: http://tstotopix.me/2013/11/14/the-s...wearing-a-wig/
I don't usually time out my day to have 16-hour tasks but I might have to see the boys in their wigs soon!

but it seems more likely that they'd remove the ability to generate multiple tiles rather than remove tiles that are sitting there waiting to be tapped. I'm not a developer, though. So the escalator, magnifying glass, skyscraper, and sunsphere all popped up yesterday and yeah, tons of XP - at least 50,000 and definitely more for each (except maybe the sunsphere).

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
So wait, you got a Buddha Homer from the mystery box and the Buddha gave you the squeaky voiced teen?
That's pretty awesome.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
That's exactly what happened.
Looking at this Mystery Box chart and this Homer Buddha chart...
A Mystery Box offers a 1% chance of getting a Homer Buddha and a Homer Buddha offers a 4% chance of getting the Squeaky-Voiced Teen so in terms of odds, if I have my math right (and please correct me if I'm wrong), that means I had a 0.04% chance of this particular outcome.
"So I've got that going for me. Which is nice."

But once, with only one mystery box, I got 50 donuts or so.
Quiet time in my Springfield. Started building the Unemployment office, 1.5 days, and started the Lisa Thanksgiving task, the one that's 10 tasks of 4 hour each...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
So is it worth it to use some of my hard-earned donuts on a Homer Buddah, or should I hold out and hope that the mystery box gives it to me eventually?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I received Hans Moleman from my first Homer Buddha when I started playing the game and since then have only gotten trees and the like until last night's Squeaky-Voiced Teen prize. It's really hard to say whether it's worth it, given the odds. I've only bought three Buddhas total and only the first was the good one. Received at least two or maybe three Buddhas via the Mystery Box (purchased or end-of-the-week) and all duds there, too. Unlike the $2000 I don't mind throwing away every day to bet on the $200,000 dog, donuts are closer to real money that I don't know that I would buy another one unless I felt like I had donuts / money to burn.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Random question that I won't have to worry about for 12 levels, but what happens to the XP you collect when you hit the highest level? Does it still add up and get applied to the next level once an update is released, or do they just go away?

You get free donuts AND it's applied to the next level.
