Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I should, hopefully, reach 10,000 GOO tonight. Once I am able to visit other Springfields that is (8 hours to go). I'm a 9439 GOO currently. I have about 65 people on my friends list, including Other Springfield.

Lateralus / pheisey, I've been meaning to tell you that I cannot tap anything in your town. It's said I have 0 things to do since the first day of Halloween and keeps saying to come back later. Sorry I can't help you. Anyone else having this issue with his town?

I've been getting lots of hauntings and goblins, not sure why my town does not like you.

Or. Just unfriend only.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
You were one of the first friends I added and yours has been the first town in my friends list next to the Other Springfield ever since I first added you. Yours was the first I tapped during Halloween and I did think it seemed a little glitchy (can't pinpoint why) and since then it's simply not available. Perhaps we need to unfriend each other and then refriend again.
Or. Just unfriend only.

I removed you and resent you a request.

That's the end of line... For now. Don't know if the last two community prizes (frog prince and King Homer skyscraper) will have quest lines.

Wow, we're only like 50 million away from the 13 billion global prize.
I got 105 tickets in the balloon prize!
Of course I'm currently sitting on over 100K tickets.
I keep swiping my houses into Christmas decorations, but at this point I'm tempted to just leave them up for the holiday event. I wonder if we're going to get a Gil deal before that.

The 13 billion global prize is kind of Meh.. its a bomb that gets all ghosts on the screen at once. You get 5 of them. If you want more, they cost 3 donuts each, I believe.

I accepted it and it's the same deal. You've moved back into the first friend spot next to Other Springfield and it still says I have zero tasks to do and not even a come back in so many hours time clock. Bizarre. Oh, well, maybe it will be fine after the event. Which is too bad because I enjoy looking at your town.
Speaking of towns, I've spent some time revamping mine a bit, creating a consistent grid of 8 x 8 sections (each road "piece" being 1 unit) to help with layout and I'm excited about it. Making more of a miracle mile except toward the coast which I think would be more touristy, anyway. Took all the brick buildings and made a sort of "old downtown" Main Street in the middle of town and I'm making more green space, too. Still trying to figure out exactly what to do with industrial and rural areas but I think it would be in line with Simpsons humor to have the nuclear power plant right next to the waterfall and lake, of course! I'll take any feedback you all have as I play around with options, thanks.

That sounds great, actually. I've been wanting to reorganize mine as well. I kind of kept things laid out, but didn't really put much thought into it other than making sure that buildings faced a sidewalk or street to make what looks like an entrance.

Yeah, underwhelmed by the ghost bomb. I was going to try it out, but noticed there were only five available so held off. But since it's limited time, I'll try it someday first thing in the morning, and I'm now up to 8 after general ghost-clearing so I don't have to worry about hoarding it.
Most of my friends seem to be in the 4-5K range and in pretty good shape. No coincidence that the ones who need more help are the ones who never have gremlin space available.

I think putting Chalmers on his 24-hour task on the little island I made in the lake on the east side of my town is officially my new favorite task!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
lol.. I saw your redesigned town yesterday. Nice job. The little island is pretty cool. How did you go about doing it? Put all the buildings in storage and erase all your roads and water to basically start from scratch?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I've now put Moe on his 12-hour task on the little island and he looks great with Chalmers! Creating little situations like this may end up being my new favorite thing in this game!
- Create an "old town" main street.
- Expand my residential zone.
- Leave some room for those $1-3 million items for when I have the cash.
- On the coast, I wanted a miracle mile right behind all the fancy restaurants on the coast with their fancy overpriced beachside outdoor seating. (...Wow, apparently I'm bitter at the their fanciness!)
- On the east side of town, I wanted a lake with the nuclear power plant dumping into it and the prison on an island.
- In between, from that point, it would simply be 8x8 grids.
To make the grids, I stored some decorations and moved building down to a space on the south side that's completely open by the house farm. That way, the building and the characters were still making cash. Then, I adjusted the roads as needed. A few sections only needed to be shifted by one or two spaces, anyway, while other parts of town needed a lot more shifting. I also created a river on the south side to prevent, as much as possible anyway, characters from wandering down into the house farm and getting lost.
The fun part was deciding what buildings go well together. I put the hospital, Hibbert's practice, Calmwood, and the Retirement Castle all together as one giant health care conglomerate. I also liked making a little town square with shopping around the Lemon Tree. Also gave me a chance to expand Burns' mansion grounds and I used the police training wall with some well-placed pine trees to cover the doors.
Still have to figure out what to do with all of that Springfield Park wall I have stored away.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
How fake is this community goo counter? It seems to be up to 1500 goo per second and the counter seems to go up by the same multiple all the time with no variance. It is increasing more than it has ever been. I have cut way back on my ghost killing since hitting 10K and guessing others have done the same. I'm guessing the heavy TSTO gamers and the bulk of their players were going hard at this game when this event first started but like me have scaled way back since hitting their 10K goal. I can't imagine there is a whole new flux of new players that have been making up the difference and caused this increase of goo.
