i'm trying to decide if i want to buy the gil special. i've got like 170 donuts, so i'd have to buy at least $9.99. but i hate buying them if they aren't on special.

If you have Christmas lights from the previous Christmas update you click on certain buildings and you'll see an option to enable the decorations.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

The nice thing about the Sacajawea costume is that Lisa now has an eight-hour task by herself.

I just set my characters on 12-hour tasks thinking I could retask them tonight while watching TV then realized I have movie tickets starting exactly 12 hours from now.

Nice! So I guess I don't have to be annoyed any more with the lights I had turned on by mistake during Halloween.

And last year there was some kind of whacking/ghost-like goal attached to the lights. Once you enable, say, lights on a blue house, you can switch all your blue houses to the decorations. I didn't realize this last year and left some earnings on the table.

I have 130 donuts and am leaning toward getting the deal, which means I'll probably have to get the 300-donut package. The Springfield sign is a bonus monster, and not only have I not bought anything premium since one of the Krustyland rides, but I haven't bought any premium buildings (I had decided to get Lincoln then the deal was pulled earlier than I expected).

My tile is finally back up. At least, I think so. I keep freezing before I can swipe over to the shoreline. Can't tap anything all day.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I lost my tile a few days back. I wasn't even tapping that close and then "poof!"

I think I was first to tap on a few of you guys' tiles too because when I'd enter a town every day or so I'd see a tile for a split second before seeing the town. At least that's how I interpret that.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Remember that tomorrow Tuesday is the Christmas update. So plan accordingly. Don't send your characters in 12 or 24 hour tasks.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I haven't been reading the blogs lately so I forgot about that. My characters all come off 12-hour tasks at 11:00am but that's when my morning class is done, anyway, so I don't have a chance to tap before then.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My characters will all be coming off tasks when I get home tonight, so I should be good. I was surprised yesterday to get 36 hour taks for Homer and Comic Book Guy.nare there more of those?

Two hours after you posted that, I sent everyone on 24-hour tasks.

Also don't visit your friends. You may get coins/gifts for visiting your friends after the update. And of course you will need those coins to buy buildings and stuff.

Or at least that's what has happened in the past.

Right now my Springfield looks like Krustyland, full of people wandering around.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I don't think there's any need to panic. The Halloween event gave us more than enough time to do everything, and I suspect the same will be true for Xmas.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My tile is still up for tapping.

I'm also holding off visiting other Springfields until the update drops to know if there is a social aspect to it like past events.

I do wish this tile thing would have been working/known during the initial period. It would have sped up the Squidport stuff considerably. I have a huge boardwalk area now.. I need to even it out some with more tiles and then re-arrange them all to make it look better. Right now I still have every building in a straight line, other than a couple food carts and the sushi place.

I didn't even tap near it! I was tapping mid Squidport and poof, gone.

Does anyone have the update yet?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

No update yet. All the blogs/sites were sure that it was going to be released yesterday

So it can happen any time from now, I guess. I sent everyone in 8 hour tasks last night before going to bed, and will keep them free all day today. Good thing that I don't need cash.
