Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I finished KL quest 21 and got more customers! Also bumped up to 2 on the Krust-O-Meter due to three stars on the merch scale and two on nausea.

I think it's the Krust-O-Meter that controls how many customers you have.

Tickets are hard to get at the beginning. And you can't buy them with donuts it seems.

So right now I'm waiting to get 1700 of them to build something. I'm at 700

You probably already know this but make sure you are running tasks with the available characters in KL (something I didn't know until the helpful members here told me). The 30 minute 'ride the death drop' task nets 12 tickets so keep on that if you can. 3 or 4 characters can ride it in the beginning. Also, Homer playing the 'ring toss' gets you around 50 for a 4-hour task.

Slowly but surely it will add up!

In the premium items they have the laffy meal which will give you tickets or other premium items .

That makes sense. It also implies that I'll lose those folks if/when my rating drops.

I assume people are also visiting their neighbors' Krustylands to tap for tickets. I myself am not patient or aggressive enough to make multiple visits to ensure I get tickets every time, but that can be done.

Yep, doing all those things. One mistake I made though. As soon as the krusty meter was enabled I tried to raise my numbers. Big mistake. So I spent tickets on that.

Yeah, I spent some tickets trying to boost my rating then had to wait on a quest till I earned more, which is frustrating. The intent is good, because if you get visitors they give you tickets. The frustration is in how difficult it is to boost the ratings. Kitsch is still my low point at one star.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It seems going premium is the best way to improve your Kitsch rating. Lame I know.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

i have 3 of the first two you've listed, and none of the others and i'm still at 2. probably because i have all the food places that are opened up at this point.

Sorry, I was specifically talking about getting my Kitsch up to 2.

I'm currently building something that I hope will boost my Grub to 3. Like you, I've built all my non-premium buildings, though I could start doubling up, I guess. I just want to avoid building-farms.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My Krust-O-Meter is at 2 stars right now:
1 - Nausea
2 - Grub
2 - Kitsch
3 - Merch

I currently have:
1 popcorn stand
1 hot dog stand
1 fried dough stand
1 krusty burger
1 knock over the fuzzy guy
4 ring toss games
1 wheel of chance
1 3 strikes
1 sideshow you
1 Itchy & Scratchy
6 palm trees
3 benches
3 trash cans
3 pavilion tents
Death Drop
Sleeping Itchy's Castle
40+ fence pieces

I offer that up in case people are wondering how to get to 2% bonus. I didn't track when it reached that point like I should have, unfortunately.

Also, I noticed today the fences can overlap completely or halfway which lends some great flexibility for building and making designs.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

They finally fixed my Springfield!

No more Krustyland trash in my Springfield. I didn't receive any update or anything. I didn't send any request either.

So I finally cleaned my Springfield and made some cosmetics changes. For the ones that visit my SF, I moved the KL bus station to be near Krustylu Studios, near the beach and the squidport.

Nope. Now I'm building a second Krusty Burger.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

For those on or around KL quest 24,
Spoiler:
I have the Tower of Food on the north side of my KL to the point where I can barely see the top floor. The problem is that when the building completes its KL tickets, they appear midway up the tower rather than at the base. I've probably missed them a few times because of it, and I think I need to move the tower somewhere else.

You guys are pretty far in the KL quests. I'm still building the gift shop.

I'm on KL part 26 and

Spoiler:
Homer tells Nelson to come back in 24 hours for the stunt show, then it turns out the build time on it when you go to build is 36 hours. Ugh!

Yeah, what the heck was up with that?

Krusty Burger completed but Grub still at 2. And the second one appears not to generate tickets like the first one did.

I've been getting lots of lockups scrolling around Springfield since the update. Frustrating.

They fixed mine too and I had been moving my krustyland trash piling it into areas I had hoped would be right near where I wanted them so I could collect them if a fix ever went through, it worked. I collected about 50 pieces of krusty trash after buying 3 pieces of krustyland

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I was in KL trying to figure out what task Homer was working on then it dawned on me that I had just assigned him to Springfield. At the time I thought it was unusual because he was wearing his country outfit, which I didn't recall seeing him wear for quite some time. I tried to put his building in storage to free him up, but because my KL building was going to be done in 24 hours, I had assigned him the 24-hour Monkey Trauma Center marathon, and his house is like the only one that can't be put in storage. D'oh!

Even better: This morning my building finished so I assigned all my characters in KL and then freed up all the ones in Springfield (they were all timed to the end of the building). I went back to KL to assign Homer, and there were THREE OTHER characters waiting there who I had absentmindedly assigned to 24-hour Springfield tasks because they had freed up in KL and then appeared in Springfield as I was furiously assigning tasks there. So basically I missed out on four full days of ticket-earning.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

For those a bit further in the KL stuff, does Lisa ever get any longer tasks? She's the only character that can be used in KL that I only have 2 options for (30 minute task, or 60 minute). The others have 4, 8, or 12 hour tasks available.
