Just checked the Play Store, so I guess the update didn't take or something, as I am installing the update now.
I was thinking you didn't have the right character free or something.

That happens. A year or so ago I was keeping the lights on with 24-hour tasks until they started an event that interested me and got me back into the game. It will most likely always be there when or if you decide to play more actively.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

A few issues I'm having with the game:

-Yesterday I ran out of projects late in the afternoon, and as far as I can tell there's no other way to use up garbage or metal, so once I hit the storage limits, I was basically done for the day. Today I'm already done with the projects so sometime this morning I'm going to have to shut down my participation in the event.

-All the Heights options seem to be gone from the menus. I was burning off furniture by buying jet skis, but I can't find them in the store so all I can do is upgrade buildings.

-About those buildings: I have 20 Heights buildings in storage (combination of condos, mansions, etc.) and it's not letting me store anything else.

EDIT: TSTO Addicts thinks the building storage is a glitch and not dependent on how many buildings I have stored--they say that no one can store buildings right now. So maybe it'll get fixed. They also acknowledge the project limits. I knew that was by design, but I'm still annoyed.

I'm still seeing them, although they're not as easy to get to as they were last week. After you open the store menu, click on the arrow on the left-hand side (next to the house icon). Then go to the Springfield Heights icon. All the usual items for sale should still be there.

On a different note, iTunes tried to sync my phone the other day, and I had to re-download all my recent progress. All my progress is still there, but one of my random Lisa tasks shows that I have completed it -39/1 times. Each time I complete the task, it changes to -38/1, -37/1, etc. Has this glitch happened to anyone else? Do I really need to do it 40 times to clear it from my task list, or is there an easier way to clear the glitch?

Ah, found it, thanks! I was actually looking for that menu of icons but couldn't find it.

I'm getting it too. I have Rev. Lovejoy counseling couples at -181/1. Lovejoy generates metal and furniture, and it's a 24-hour task, so there's no way I'm taking him out of circulation for six months. Addicts did mention that glitch as well.

In-game update!

No-storage and negative-tasks glitches still aren't fixed.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Negative-task glitch appears to be fixed, at least for me.

With three days to go in Act 1, I'm working on the last prize, so I should get there. Seems like the projects have gotten more lucrative, though there are still days when I do two projects in one minute and am done for the day.

I do like the monorail and have to find some more space to run it in.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I unlocked him too, but I was annoyed because I needed about 100 blueprints and cashed in a 2000-blueprint prize but didn't get credit for the overage. I got a bonus task to finish 3000 blueprints and started off at zero. So as I got close to that bonus tier, I had to search around for opossums for that final 10. I never found them so I had to wait till my neighbor bonuses opened up. So I cashed in that bonus and then cashed in another 2000-blueprint prize. About that bonus:
Spoiler:
I got a piece of straight track instead of donuts.

I hope they add an opossum vacuum because those guys are hard to track down.

Or if the radius of our taps would at least expand, like it has in other events.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I went in a business trip and lost like 4 days of the event.

Thankfully it was really easy to catch up, so now I'm 1000 blueprints from the final prize!
And I should be able to get them today.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

This event has been really easy. Or at least that seems to me.

I've reached the daily cap without issues every day.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It's been a blast, but I've decided I'm devoting entirely too much time to this game so I've uninstalled it. I might jump in again at some point, but if you need to free up space for someone else as a neighbor, by all means delete my arse. The username was Screengeeks.

After today's update, I can store Heights buildings again.

Yeah, it's been pretty easy to hit the daily and act goals. And even though I was complaining about the opossums, it's not bad to just release them and catch them later. If there's a capacity limit, I haven't seen it yet. But I guess that's harder to reach if I have to actively release them rather than their just flowing out at regular intervals.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Has anyone noticed that this game now crashes a ton?

I have 2 or 3 buildings in my town that have been tapped on my someone, but any time I tap on them in my game, it crashes me out. Also, when visiting other Springfields, the game will constantly crash. I've pretty much stopped visiting other towns. Luckily I've been able to get the prizes thus far and I think I'm on track to get the final one for act 2. I'm about 6000 duct tape from prize #8 and there are 4 days left until act 3.

Since the last update, mine crashes every time I exit or close the game. (Android - Note 5)

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

For most of this year I've been playing in my Galaxy S4, instead of my iPhone 5, where I played the previous years. I think performance has been fine for me.

I've had some freezes though. But in general I don't see as many issues as you mentioned above.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I had to remove all monorail tracks and that stopped the freezes. I figure the crashes are of neighbors that have stopped playing and have not updated.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've had more out-and-out crashes (as in I'm suddenly kicked out of the game, rather than not being able to sign in) than usual, but it's generally tolerable. Sorry other folks are having problems.

Regarding the glass depot,
Spoiler:
I just unlocked it. It's kind of weird in that the workers seem to be drawn from the same pool that is already working either recycling or real-estate jobs. Seems like they could make better use of a lot of people who I've been cycling through 12-hour tasks for forever.

I think I should get the last act 2 prize in the next couple days.

the answer for anything "weird" like that is simple. EA wants you to spend donuts either to upgrade or speed things up. If it is too easy, few people would spend the donuts.

Same complain that you have in the spoiler.

And I should get act 2 prize in the next hour!

I rarely speed things up, though I think I did once or twice during the "finish three eight-hour tasks in a 24-hour period" type of challenges.

I've been tempted to purchase some of the buildings and characters who have real-estate or recycling tasks because hey, who wouldn't like a new character? But I should be able to finish everything with my existing characters. The monorail bonuses are just track, but during the sports challenge I did wonder if I had picked up a character if it would have helped me earn more bonus donuts and thus defrayed the cost. One character probably wouldn't have earned me more than an additional handful, though.

Yeah. And if you have played for a long time, free donuts, without hacking, come really easy.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I just started this game a couple months ago my tag is atownmh. I'll try and add people form the list for friends.

I barely made it for the hippie, had about 4 hours to spare. Hopefully I will make it for the professor coming up.
