Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I just reached 10 million in real estate, and other than unlocking the shoreline, I see no reason to continue with the real estate (there are still a number of building I could upgrade). I wonder if those coffee/towel/etc. build icons are going to hover there forever.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

So on Tuesday evening my game was fine until is froze up and I had no choice but to restart my phone. When I went back to the game my Springfield was gone, starting me from the very beginning. (Despite the splash screen saying I was on level 57.) Multiple restarts and logging out/in did not fix it, so I chatted with EA customer service. They pulled out the big guns.

I think I was talking to Ned Flanders. Ha. And I always try to be kind and patient with people in that role, but should I be the standard that others must follow? That's a whole lot of pressure.

Anyway, he/she escalated it up to the next tier and it was eventually fixed. I missed about 24 hours of the event, though. Hopefully I'll be able to meet the deadline for act 3.

If they bother you, you can always keep building them until they are maxed out (though then the upgrade icons would be hovering over the upgradeable buildings).

That's a good idea. I'm probably going to end up storing most of the real-estate buildings, leaving a few for color (since they don't generate anything).

The jump from stage 9 to the rail yard is truly ridiculous. It's probably the most obvious cash grab they've ever done.

I'm pretty close to finishing #9 so I look forward to seeing what the next increment is. Of course they've teased the rail yard by saying it offers donuts.

24K from stage 9 to 10. It would be easy if you didn't run out of projects to do during the day.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, I have a little bit more than 3 days to get those 24K. Projects, possums, and friends visits, that should do it. But I have to "work" really hard I think.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It's a big number, but I'll get there, as I have 7K to go and at least one project left to do today.

I figure we get a handful of projects a day, and while it'd be nice if they were all high-return, it doesn't always work out that way. Throw in the bonus, and I estimate about 8K per day, which would make it right around three days. Add in another 1K for opossums. So if you're starting now, with a little under four days to go, you have a good shot, but it might depend on how able you are to turn around the recycling resources.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got a jump from the daily prize, the 5th day, so I was able to get the final prize last night.

But now, there are no projects anymore. Not sure if I should keep recycling. Probably not. I read in a site that you still can get stuff, but now you get it from the Rail Yard, need to check that.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You tap on the rail yard to turn in the items.

There are 5 levels : 1, 2, 3, & 5 mystery track pieces for the first 4 levels.

The 5th level is 5 mystery track pieces and 5 donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got the railyard, but because the weekly schedule ends on Monday night, I have three days to try to get the donuts. I'm close to the second prize thanks to recycling overstock and today's building, but I'm not sure I'm going to make it. Fortunately I haven't run into a project limit yet.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Got the rail yard as well. I've also reluctantly accepted the fact that I'll need to redesign my whole Springfield to accommodate the four monorail centers (including Krusty's which I sprung for).

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Need 18K blueprints today for the donuts. I think I can get there but I'll need to build aggressively and get some good projects (not all plastic bottles).

I was under the impression that the rail yard projects aren't going away. Is that not the case? I hope it sticks around -- the donuts are great, but I also need a lot more track pieces.

No, but my weekly prizes are ending in 17 hours, so I figure that's my last shot at this batch of donuts. After that point, I'll go back to earning track pieces with donuts part of the fifth prize.

As starseed said, I'm going to have to reconfigure my Springfield to make best use of my monorail. I still have a lot of track in storage. I'm getting close to maxing out all my real-estate buildings, at which point I won't have to worry about those anymore and I can rearrange. I currently have the high-click real-estate and recycling stuff together.

Oh, I get it now! The railyard stays around, but we can run through the set of five prizes once per week. That makes sense.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yep.

I wasn't able to get the last prize.

So I'm back to the first one again.

New app update released. Some people are having issues. Some sites are recommending not to update. I have automatic updates though, and I'm not sure if the game forces this update. We will see.

That sucks. I got it with a few hours to spare, though they didn't make the usual thing of calling out the donuts and I don't remember how many I had before, so I just have to assume I got them. It should be easy from here on out, though.

I just played and still have the update sitting in the app store so I assume it's not forced... yet.

I just passed $200 Million and the lake didn't unlock or anything. Anybody have that problem?

I unlocked the lake though I don't recall the dollar threshold.

I hate to ask, but did you install yesterday's update?

Yeah I did. I don't have the dollar thing floating above the realty office either for some reason. Hrmm.

Hmm, that's suspicious. The update description doesn't mention Heights at all, but...
