He absolutely plays games, probably more than me, but he gravitates to older SNES and GBA stuff because he has great taste. Hopefully he masturbates a bit too. WTF, Brack, is this actually how you talk to people???

I doubt many of those kids are counting on "getting" a PS4 this year, but they are surely capable of knowing what they want, just as we all knew what we wanted. I'm leaning toward getting my son a Vita so he can remote play my PS4, but that's another thing entirely, and I don't think $200 is unreasonable for Xmas.

When did I use the word uninformed?

I was making a crass point to point out how stupid a statement was. It'd be one thing if you said your kid was too busy with school or other activities to come to a conclusion that he's not informed, or whatever.

$200 isn't unreasonable. Buying a PS4 for a kid isn't unreasonable either. Assuming they're getting a system is. Hoping to get a system isn't. I'm not saying it's an awful thing to say, but it's presumptous nonetheless, and kind of seems to be the norm in how kids think these days I suppose.

WTF happened to this thread? I come here to get my daily fix of XBox :circlejerk: and to have chess post some snarky, mocking post against M$ or the XB1.. ;)

I was 15 once, and didn't like most 15 year olds then either because they are mostly thoughtless. I'm sure that hasn't changed much.

Most of the posts in this thread aren't exactly pro Xbox One. Maybe they were months ago.

Actually quite fitting considering the utter lack of thoughtful discussion and the large amount of threadcrapping by PS folks.

I love how the "opposition" completely glossed over my point. I state again, why does Apple get a pass for announcing a new phone then having it on sale 2 weeks later, while Microsoft is "taking a beating" by not announcing a date for their new console that's still potentially 3 months away? It's a double standard and it is ridiculous.

To be fair, Microsoft already announced "November" a while ago. It's kind of silly they couldn't be more specific either then or now. If they hadn't said anything, I don't think they would be getting so much flack now.

Apple usually doesn't even acknowledge the existence of a phone or tablet until they are ready to announce a price and shipping date.

If you'd like to discuss something besides the verbal syntax of the modern 15 year-old, the floor is open.

Dude, everyone loves Apple. Except for everyone who hates Apple. But regardless, no one likes Microsoft. That's why.

Because Apple throws their own conferences and don't have to play ball at E3 5-6 months before the goal they're working towards.

But Sony didn't announce their launch date at E3 either.

I really don't see the big deal. Plenty of time to announce the actual release date. It's smart of Microsoft to make sure they know they can meet it before announcing it.

The majority of console buyers aren't really following along and have no idea what's really going on.
They find out about the new consoles, pros/cons, the games, the release date, etc MUCH closer to the release date.

Furthering the point, Apple doesn't have to hit PAX East and E3 and TGS and PAX Aus and Gamescom and Gamestop and PAX Prime.

Technically neither does MS. It's bad business to do so, but still.

Do we have a date firmer than 2014 for Titanfall yet?
