re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Lol, buy an Xbox at launch but can't use it until your Kinect shows up next spring.
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
So there are zero launch titles for Kinect now.

That kinda hurts taking the one big Kinect game out of the lineup.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
The system requires Kinect but there isn't a game dedicated to it at launch? Come the fuck on, Microsoft .

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Wonder how Gamestop will handle the XO Kinect Sports Bundles they've been taking pre-orders on? On the bright side the game will actually have a playable demo at Gamescon held in Germany.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Because when I see Xbox One, I think of 80 people dying a horrific death.
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
jesus christ dude. are you that daft that you are going to post an animated gif of a train crash that just happened that killed over 80 people? wow. you truly are clueless.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
No... that is not trolling at all...
|
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
I'll give chess the benefit of the doubt here. If I googled "train wreck gif" and that was number 1, I'd post it. Before I saw the replies that's all I thought it was.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
can we get a mod to step in here and quit this bullshit trolling by him? it's enough already.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Quick question I know the XB1 isn't backward compatible but are they gonna have somekind of trade up program where if you have the original Xbox 360 game you can convert it to a downloaded title?
Also does the new system come with one or two controllers? |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
No trade upgrade program has ever been mentioned. Console only comes with one controller.

One controller, and you can always trade-in your Xbox 360 games. You probably can't upgrade from 360 to 1 since 360 games won't be available to download on the 1 (or at least that hasn't been announced).

But I'm sure Deftones is genuinely super broken up about it and not just feigning indignity, so deepest apologies. :) Edit...also changed to a hopefully more benign silent movie train wreck. |

I know I can trade in but I don't like being raped. It seems they're leaving plenty of money on the table by not doing that. I mean if I have a 360 game I really like I would pay a $5-$10 upgrade fee to be able to play it on my new system. That way I can get rid of the old one.
Sony is trying to get BC doing through Gaikai but that is borderline vaporware at this point. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
So what do you guys think are the best launch titles?

Most people would, but if they were going to do that they would have just figured out a way to make the thing Backwards Compatible. There is no expectation for Xbox One versions of Xbox 360 games outside of a handful of cross-generational titles like Battlefield 4, Titanfall and Call of Duty: Ghosts.

re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
Yeah the Live titles were always a big question mark for me, since it would be easy but there would be minimal benefit to Microsoft's backend for allowing it. Other than Minecraft and maybe Castle Crashers, Live games don't tend to sell great after their first couple months.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Battlefield 4 Call of Duty: Ghosts Dead Rising 3 FIFA 14 Forza Motorsport 5 Just Dance 2014 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes LocoCycle Madden NFL 25 NBA 2K14 NBA Live 14 Killer Instinct Ryse: Son of Rome Skylanders: Swap Force Watch Dogs If you want to use your Kinect, I would get Just Dance 2014. I hate to say it but that probably will be a pretty solid system seller (seriously, Just Dance 1 - 4 have sold a combined 32.85m copies on the Wii alone, though it is far less successful on the Kinect). Otherwise it depends on your taste in regards to the sport titles and shooters. Ryse looks beautiful but terrible to me, Watch Dogs looks interesting. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
The 360 does have more or less a PC architecture, right?
With their ridiculous cell processor, Sony never had a chance at backwards compatibility, but I really though MS would be able to do it relatively easily. It seems like a real missed opportunity. |
re: Xbox One: We said WHAT at E3??
No. The 360 runs off a tri-core processor based on IBM PowerPC (think Mac and Playstation 3), programming on the system is less difficult than it is on the PS3, but it isn't an x86 by any stretch. It runs off a different instruction set so optimization takes work.
The core programming language is still C/C++ for it though so  |
