I was able to get one but frankly I think I'm fine for awhile. I don't plan on using any for my Level 50 Maya, I've handed and kept a bunch for the Level 35 Mechromancer all the way to the mid 40's. And the old stuff she was using has been sent down to the Gunserker Level 19. I've got about (6 Keys) left over and will hold on to them for later on when they bump the levels up.

So when I finally pick this up on Black Friday (and you've all tired of it and moved on to the next game...), will any of these codes still work for me or will they have expired by then?

I suspect they will keep releasing them but these expire in hours. And don't worry, I'll roll a character with you.

Of course "White & Green" stuff dime-a-dozen with some so-so Blue scattered.

Not only that the game froze after "Mr. T" and had to restart putting me back at going thru a second time. Even after beating "Mr. T" again the drops were about the same...unimpressive and not worth keeping anything. As to date a Level 50, 35 and 19 characters...Total 2 Orange with most of the "Pink" bought with Gold Keys". Just pathetic compared to the first game....
I have two 50's and a 38 and have two orange weapons that weren't farmed. A level 30 sniper and a level 4 grenade. Luckily I used the level 4 grenade for the first 20 levels. I have had great luck with purple but they aren't the best weapons usually. Picking stuff up and actually using it is better than just going for color.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

We finished the Pirate DLC last night on first playthru even though we both were way up Level wise so to get it out of the way and concentrate on everything left over . After killing the Boss and making our way up to the "Treasure" on top, we were still disapointed with the loot. Of all the Treasure Chests only two "Pinks", plenty of Blue and Green and zero Orange

I guess Gearbox nerfed the Bee shield on the PC and people are uber pissed.

I know some people play with randoms, but I don't understand the point of nerfing this. This is not a competitive mp game. The little I used the shield it seemed weak for everything but bosses. The DLC bosses were made so that the bee did not work on them the same way as the two main bosses in the main game... that seemed a good solution to the bee. I have not played in a while, and when I do it is not with a level 50 character, so this does not bother me, it is just strange is all.

Yeah it's funny they seemed to embrace, or at least allow the glitches in the first game. Like you said it's not a competitive game so it seems harmless to let people enjoy their game the way they want.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I'm not even sure how they'd nerf The Bee. You'd have to change the stats outright on individual shields as everything that makes it powerful is right there in the stats.

The only other thing I can think of is to make it cost a little bit of shield for the amp shot, but then it would just be a low capacity amp shield with a high recharge rate.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

agreed. and as fox said, its really only good against bosses. like all amp shields, once you get hit its just bad, and with that low of a capacity it needs something to help it out

Regarding the treasure chests...

Spoiler:
Are you guys grabbing the chest on the right, way at the bottom of the pyramid structure where all the other chests are located? Instead of climbing up, go all the way to the bottom on the right hand side and there's an opening with a chest.

I was able to find a Legendary class mod from that chest so I think it must have a higher rate of spawning rare items. I missed it the first time I did the quest so I'm not sure if you're guaranteed an orange item or if I was just lucky.

I got a pink rocket launcher from the treasure cave under Old Spirits in PT 2 the other night. I'm the host and I don't have the DLC nor do any of my partners (I believe or else we all would have it). Is that normal?

I'm doing a TVHM play through and realizing the enemies are much tougher.

Not really getting any killer drops though.

that's because [I've been wanting to write this for a while every time it's miscolored mentioned] "They're not fucking pink, they're MAGENTA!" and they're the new color [Very Rare E-Tech] in between Purple and Orange. So it has nothing to do with the DLC.

And they all use multiple bullets per shot, and I've hardly found any of them useful.

Ah, ok. I was just going off the news around the DLC from various sources that pink was a new color included in it. I don't remember a magenta before.
