Yeah, I've gotten a bunch of those with golden keys. One of my best ARs was a slag one I used for a long time.

Torgue makes my favorite guns in this game. I particularly like the "spitters". Just badass guns, especially considering that my siren does every other elemental already.

Looks like the next DLC is close to being cued up. I need to buy that season pass already.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I was loving this game until a bug basically killed it for me. The game freezes just about everytime I hit an autosave station.

There's a very long thread over on the official forums about it, and I've tried all of the work arounds out there, but nothing helps for more than 20 min or so.

Bummer.

True vault. Then I went and farmed orange after the second playthrough.

I'm up to level 40 now, and have killed bosses (mostly story missions) and have yet to see an orange drop.

TVHM and once you beat that, you will play a 2.5 playthrough where every enemy is between level 50-52.

MY CAMPAIGN OF CARNAGE DROPS ON NOVEMBER TWENTIIIIIIIIIIIETH
Well, the season pass is looking more and more enticing with these quick releases. Still too close to the Holiday sale to risk it.

I'm not digging the Pirate DLC - it's just a big slog. It's way too spread out and a pain in the ass getting everywhere. I'm not necessarily asking for a smaller sized DLC, just a more compact one.

You are not alone...as I've mentioned in posts before...with three characters at level 19, 34 and 50 a total of Two Orange Drops. Both of those were Level 30 with the Mechromancer. I'm almost done with the second playthru with the Siren (50) and not a single Orange item yet. What I have is hand-me-downs.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Finally got to 50 and beat the pirate dlc. Thought it was all pretty easy. I soloed the leviathan with a incendiary smg. It was a magenta drop from one of the bosses. Nothing great in the treasure room. Two magenta slag weapons. Still need to finish playthrough two on tvhm.

Only thing this seems to be missing is a level cap increase.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I'm still farming sub level 50 oranges.

My recent finds:

Maliwan Hellfires: Level 12 and a bladed level 35 (from Torch)
Dahl Hornets: Levels 1, 33 and 35 (from Knuckledragger)
Maliwan Caustic Leech: Level 30 (from the Warrior)
Maliwan Volcano: Level 50 (from the Warrior)
Torgue Kerblaster: Level 31 and 33 (from Midgemong)
Torgue Homing Double Bonus Package: Level 35 (from Boom Boom)

I'm also still able to open the gold chest at will with a second controller, and I've been collecting Torgue Spitters at various levels throughout the game. I have them at levels 12, 15, 17, 23, 29, 34, 40, 44 and 50. Love those guns.

My Moxxie Bad Touch collection covers every 3-4 levels between level 11 and level 40.

I've been unsuccessful at farming a Nukem from the Black Queen or an Infinity from Doc Mercy. I have both at level 50, but I want them at lower levels. If anybody has them on PS3, I'd love a duplicate or trade. I'm also happy to share anything I have.

Got higher score than the game itself.

9.2 AMAZING

Everything you love about Borderlands 2 turned all the way up and direct-injected to your brain. This is DLC done right

+Great pacing
+Concentrated, intense action
+Quality on par with core game
+Mr. Torgue himself is hilarious

– Unique brand of humor is as divisive as ever

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I finished the game in TVHM and found a great way to kill the Warrior without hardly getting hit. Killed him four times at level 50 and no oranges.

I did have two 40ish oranges drop before I hit 50. A shield during the Bnk3r battle and a launcher after killing a random mob.

Anyway I'm all Borderlanded out. I'm trading this in today and getting the eventual GOTY with all the expansions.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

The new DLC just showed up in the store for me, and since I have the pass it's marked free. Problem is the game's DLC menu option doesn't see it. It shows an ! next to Downloadable content, and the blurb beneath it says new available, but going in there only shows the 3 previous (Pass, Mechromancer and Pirate). Any guesses as to whether taking it from the store will F things up as far as the Pass seeing it/incorporating it into the game?

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

It's just driving me nuts, I can't really solo level 50 stuff with my Maya build, and there's not a way to easily find these DLC games in the public multiplayer list.

I have the Season Pass and I downloaded the Pirate DLC from the store (it showed FREE also) rather than from the in-game menu and it worked fine.

In my experience, downloading DLC from in-game menus usually just exits the game anyway and takes you to the "official" store... on PS3 anyway.

Not on Xbox. If you download in-game you are locked into the d/l screen until its done. Pretty shortsighted design.
