I wonder if they are going to verify all the accounts. Meaning if you have an account from Europe you really live there. That could be easily done, but has not been heavily enforced in the past. You know, because people was able to download demos from other regions in the past.

We will see, but I really don't have high expectations here.

Cool. Was considering Infamous but didn't want to buy it. Not sure of the other game I'll pick, but big props to Sony for stepping up and making things right. :up:

I've spent the past 2 weeks waiting for the servers to come up just so I could synch the trophies and switch out the hard drive. Finally get to do it last night, pull out the hard drive and 2 of the friggin screws that hold it in have stripped heads. Took me over an hour to get them out. Just one final haha on sony's part.

so THATS why they haven't gotten the playstation store online yet. They were at your house stripping the screws on your hard drive. I hope you at least fed them.

I assume all of the free games are published by Sony, hence the selections.

I think I'll go for Dead Nation for me and LittleBigPlanet for my wife. She likes puzzle platforms like Boom Blox, World of Goo, and Super Mario Galaxy. I've never played LBP but I wonder if this will end up being her first PS3 game and one she actually wants to try. Thoughts on that one?

Yeah, you gotta be careful with those screws. I stripped two of mine when I first swapped a drive.

Since I bought INfamous last week at BB as well, I guess I'll go with LBP and Wipeout

Never got around to buying inFamous back when it was released. I rented it for a bit but didn't get that far. That's actually pretty decent compensation for a free service.

I do feel bad for the publishers/developers who've gotten royally screwed though.

Over at Blu-ray.com they're saying that 5/31 is the expected date for the return of the store.

I don't want any of those. Oh well. :shrug:

Why couldn't they have ModNation for the PS3 instead of the PSP :(

I already own 3 of those, not sure what Dead Nation is.

Dead nation is an awesome twin stick shooter. I really loved it and it's one of the few psn games that i took the time to finish. I highly suggest it.

I already own Infamous and LBP, So I guess it's down to Wipeout, Dead Nation, and Stardust. I'm wondering if it's possible to get all 3 though, since I have a seperate PSN account on my PS3 for my wife.

I also own Infamous and LBP. Dead Nation seems like a no-brainer, so I just have to choose between Wipeout and Stardust. Any overly-opinionated gamers want to chime in on those two?

I haven't played either but I would say that if you have a 3d tv and like racing to go with wipeout hd, I hear it looks amazing in 3d. If you don't like racing then get Super stardust. Wipeout HD has from what i understand some of the most controller breaking trophies of just about any game though so if you are in it for tropies I would steer clear of it lol.

I enjoyed Stardust, but I'd go with Wipeout by far, HD and Fury together make for pretty much a full game. It still looks fantastic and if you enjoy racers even a little bit, it's a blast. It can be tough, but you can adjust the difficulty. It's loaded with tracks and great gameplay.
