Finally I can use my DS4! :D

BTW, I remembered, FU Comcast! I tried the HBO Go app a few days ago and Comcast is not one of the providers. Thankfully I have an Apple TV plugged to that TV, so I was able to watch a movie, but I wanted to use my PS3! :(

I still post occasionally on the Comcast forums about HBOGo, but of course there's never an answer :(

One problem I had with pairing my DS4 with my PS3 was it unpairs it with the PS4.

Yeah, I figured that would be the case.

Waiting for them to release that sweet ass blue controller so I can buy a second one to use with my PS3.

I picked up a blue DS4 so I could get back to some unplayed PS3 games, only to find out the controller doesn't work with all games

Anyone know of a master list floating around?

Thanks. It's weird that Resistance 1 & 2 are compatible, but not 3. It also sucks that Gran Turismo 5 & 6 doesn't work either.

This is unrelated to the welcome back offer. The current compensation is a settlement from the class action lawsuit hence why we are getting another free game.

LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust HD
rain
Puppeteer
Invizimals Lost Kingdom
God of War HD

PSP

LittleBigPlanet*
Modnation Racers
Patapon 3*
Killzone Liberation*
Wipeout Pure
Syphon Filter Dark Mirror

*PS Vita Compatible

If you don't want the games, you can choose 3 dynamic themes, or 3 months of PS Plus(only if you are not currently a PS+ member).

Accountholders can get benefits if they had a PlayStation Network (“PSN”) account, a Qriocity account, or an SOE account at any time before May 15, 2011.
To receive benefits, you must complete and submit a Claim Form for the benefit with any required documentation by the deadline which may be as early as August 31, 2015.
When will I get my benefits?
Eligible Settlement Class Members who send in a timely and valid Claim Form for any wallet balance payment, game and online service benefits, or identity-theft-reimbursement payment under the settlement will receive the benefit after the Court grants “final approval” of the settlement and after any appeals are resolved. If Judge Battaglia approves the settlement after a hearing on May 1, 2015 (see the section “The Court’s Fairness Hearing” below), there may be appeals. It is always uncertain when these appeals can be resolved, and resolving them can take time.
PSN game, theme, and online service benefits will be distributed by sending voucher codes by email or by mail. The SOE “Station Cash” benefit will be credited to your SOE account. Wallet balance payments and identity-theft-reimbursement payments will be mailed. Please note that reimbursements will be sent only when the reimbursement amounts are final under the terms of the settlement. Please be patient.

I turned the PS3 on for the first time after a year. I knew that I have never finished GoW: Ascension and was in the mood to play it after finishing up GoW III on the PS4. I have too many unfinished or never played games to retire the machine. Also this is the only way that I can change my avatar too.

BTW, the Netflix app is much more responsive on the PS3 than on the PS4.

Yeah, the PS3 is still my primary Blu-ray, Netflix and Amazon streaming machine, mainly due to the remote. When the "official" PS4 remote comes out in a couple of months, I might switch over.

So I'm interested in buying some PSOne and PS 2 Classics on the PS3. Correct me if I'm wrong, there are NO save states, right? Like the Virtual Console has on the Wii U?

I don't have a WiiU and have never used VC, so I don't really understand the question. If you're asking can you save your PS One and PS2 games that you play on a PS3, the the answer is yes. PS3 makes a virtual Memory Card Utility for PS One games and has a Saved Data Utility for emulated PS2 games.
Any PS One game can be played on the PS3, but PS2 games have to be specially emulated virtual versions bought in the PSN store (the launch units had full PS2 emulation in the hardware, but that was quickly phased out).

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

If you bring up the Wii U menu, it will ask if you want to create or load a "Restore Point." By creating a restore point, I can go back to that moment in time. I'm wondering if the PS3 has that same feature for the PSOne and PS2 classics, or do I have to find a save point within the game?

Decker 10-21-15 11:54 PM

Re: The Official PS3 thread - Aaaaannnnnnddddd we're back!

Ah. No, no Restore Point. It's just like it was in the original games. If you could save anywhere there, you could here. If you needed to find a save point before, same applies here.
