Hey, did you go back thru after all? All I have left is the "Vault" but wanted to check and see if you got it fixed or just went ahead and re-did the level or what?

Re: Borderlands
I finished my first playthrough (all solo) last night with my soldier. I did all of the quests including all of the quests on Zombie Island. I finished at level 40 with 44 hours of game time. It has been a long time since I put these kind of hours into one game. This is the first game ever that I have done 100% of the side quests -- I usually just stick to the main story and do very few side quests.
I started my second playthrough last night. I am not very far yet, but I am still raping everyone. I got some really good loot off of Zombie Island and it really is paying off in my second playthrough. Here is what I am using right now:
Combat Rifle -- Stomper with 191 damage
Shotgun -- Painful Scattergun with 151 x 9 -- this gun completely annihilates everything in its path.
Orion sniper rifle -- 251 damage with 4x static power
Volcano sniper rifle -- 259 damage with 4x incendiary power
I am having ZERO issues in the second playthrough right now with these weapons. I am sure it will get more challenging though.

Re: Borderlands
i still run out of ammo at times especially where i am facing numerous skags.
also, the respawn rate is way too fast for my liking.
question - i received class mods for other classes. Nothing else i can do with them except sell them right? I am not playing online.

I really never had a problem with enemies coming back, because I wanted the exp...I had a blast killing people...and when you get higher level, it seems like they don't spawn back as much and when they do they die from one bullet, which really makes you feel bad ass...so no big deal..

They don't respawn. There are "triggers" placed that cause guys to spawn, you just didn't hit that trigger before. At least that's how it has seemed for me.

Re: Borderlands
Since you are not online then as KMS_MD said sell them but that's one of the finer points of being on-line. Able to exchange or trade items providing you can find someone to do it with. I've been lucky at finding a few that have and also gave me better weapons they picked up.

Re: Borderlands
this may be obvious, and already talked about in this thread, but if you have a weapon or shield that is real nice, you can always give it to your friend, and as long as they quit it will save it, but you just have to turn off your xbox, that way you keep the item as well....just saying...

Re: Borderlands
If you get far enough into the second playthrough it unlocks a legendary mode of sorts and then every enemy in the game is level 50. I think you have to get close to the end to unlock it. I lost interest though once I started fighting level 49 and 50 enemies

Re: Borderlands
After you kill the final boss and finish the story, when you exit the game and play again with that character, there will be an option to start playthrough 2. The second playthrough is basically in a separate save file. You start with the weapons and gear you had at the end of the first playthrough, but from that point on, what you do in each playthrough does not affect the other.
Playthrough 2 is basically starting the story over, so you'll do all the same missions again except all the mobs are higher level now. When you kill the final boss in playthrough 2, all the mobs in the game become level 48+. You will be able to run around and kill mobs and farm weapons, but there are no more quests aside from any that were uncompleted. This state is what they call playthrough 2.5.
So some people like to rush through playthrough 2 completing only the story quests. They kill the final boss, then go back and do all the sidequests they skipped, which will now have much higher level mobs than if you had done them back when you first started playthrough 2.

Re: Borderlands
It always seemed to me that the enemies respawned at about the same rate as the vending machines, so if I see the "Shops have new inventory!" message, I'm more likely to run into more enemies if I'm back tracking. I don't know if that's actually true or all just in my head.
What type of weapon are you using when you run out of ammo? Try to find a higher level vending machine and buy a larger SDU for that type. Also, vary your weapons when you need to. At lower levels, I had my siren using SMGs and repeater pistols mostly, but usually had something else (whatever was best in my inventory) in my 3rd or 4th slot.

Re: Borderlands
You need to vary the use of your weapon types. That way you not only have a bigger pool of ammo to use, but you're also able to pick up more of the ammo that drops. If you loot a big box of ammo and you're only picking up combat rifle rounds because that's all you're using, then you're going to have problems.

Re: Borderlands
Not sure what you mean here. When I go on a long trek for a mission through an area(Arid Hills for example) and I finish the quest, when I turn around to go back to the badlands all of the guys I killed before are back. The bosses dont respawn, but all the random henchmen and skags etc do.
